Where were you on: April 22, 2020? What were you doing on July 3rd, 2020? These dates are known for the family of Vanessa Guillen: the date she went missing from Fort Hood, and the date that the Army confirmed her remains were discovered and confirmed. The dates that a families lives were changed forever. But these are also dates that the community came together, learned her name, and demanded justice. We are now here, two years later, with still an outpour of cases from not only Fort Hood relating to soldiers missing, sexual harassment/sexual assault but also now reaching military bases all across the world. We hear their names, we learn their stories. But what are we doing for change to not only get justice for them as victims but also peace for their families? What is being done to stop this epidemic within the military walls, and what reform is being conducted for not only our current military service men & women but for the future of our military and our countries. I sit down with special guest, Mayra Guillen, Vanessa Guillen's sister to discuss her sisters life taken too soon, the families tenacity for justice, and the future changes and the legacy of Vanessa Guillen.
