Jerry Manor from Seacomm Credit Union was in the studio today. He spoke about how to preserve a good credit score. Then a caller chimed in about the Zoo and suggested it failed because they attempted to have a 'Drag -Show' up there. Donnie called about that too. Attorney Joe Stanley talked about how pedestrians can get hurt at construction zones. A man just lost his leg in an incident on State Street.
We're in-between stuff this time of year, and local issues are just boring. However, this didn't stop Glenn from having good discussions about the zoo, Court St parking and why political candidate for Congress Mario Fratto doesn't understand how Congresswoman Claudia Tenney calls herself a conservative. Good political discussion too, at the end of today's show.
Glenn was excited to have a new Christmas song added to the current 24/7 mix on Magic 103. It's the Ray Charles song from Christmas Vacation. This lead to a discussion of Chevy Chase, and the Vacation series, plus lead into a rant on how movies, music and TV shows have gone south. Glenn is sick of talking about the Zoo but talked about the stand-out buildings throughout the city.
Good follow up show to yesterday's Jesse interview. Duff chimed in about it and brought up old Watertown tattoo guy Dr. Strange. Another caller said 'Strange' ruined his sister in-law's life, Glenn used this to say other things. Samantha called about getting a stimulus check and SG said Jesse had an interesting story and nobody should dictate who should be on the show or not.
Glenn stepped away from politics today with an interview with local man, Jesse, the Chinese Zodiac Killer. Despite his moniker, Jesse explained why he gave himself that name and what lead up to his arrest and his incarceration for 13 months. Jesse is passionate about his book and his ideology, but wasn't very good at staying under the radar. However, he explains how getting caught was part of the plan.
The results are in and Sarah, Kimble and Shoen will be sworn in council on January 1st. Glenn took calls throughout today's show, and the consensus is, Lisa and Cliff will only get worse. We'll have to see!
Well, today is the day, and although it's Election Day, most of today's show was all about last night's vote to keep the zoo open. A young lady caller, chimed in with her own thoughts, we'll have to wait and see. Good calls throughout today's lively show!
Just one day left before Election Day Watertown. Glenn pondered the results on today's show. Many chimed in to give their predictions. Glenn also can't understand why traffic lights don't work when you're in a hurry.
Glenn had Councilwoman Lisa Ruggiero on today to give here the opportunity to talk about why she's the candidate to be Watertown's first female mayor. Glenn challenged Lisa about the claims she's made about her opponent and the current mayor. Topics like the golf course meme page and billboard came up throughout today's show. Callers are upset about a lot of things, which was very clear on today's show.
Glenn had City Council Candidate Ben Shoen in today less than a week before Election Day. Ben went over the big city issues, including his thoughts about the recent water main break. TJ Babcock stopped by too, to give Ben support, both are running for the two open council seats. Ben also has a flat-tax property idea too, based on the lot size only.
