How confident are you that you are where God wants you?

Do you know who you are? Do you know His voice? It is very practical and easy to connect with Him where He is. Ask the Lord if “this” is where He wants you, get confirmation.

Ask God for that confirmation.

God is very practical and easy, not afar off, He is right here. Connect with Him where He is, you do not need to travel a thousand miles because you heard of someone speaking something about God.

If in a “dead” church, then find where you can find life.

Ask God to reveal where He wants you, our feelings do not matter as our feelings will not always be correct.

How does one find the will of the Father for them? What is the process? How does one find the “proof”?

Like Gideon, ask God for confirmation, He will give it.

His Joy is more than just being happy, more than just feeling good.

We are able to appropriate His Joy to be our strength.

When Jesus went to the cross, it was the “joy set before Him” that gave Him the strength to suffer the beatings and cross experience.

We want to eliminate the “religious” thinking of who God is and find the experiential relationship with our Father.

“That looks better than what I have.”

This is a deception that divides and is deadly to relationships.

Every marriage is different, so how can we progress from here?

 Do we start over? 

How do we Love one another afresh?

 What roll does God play with Marriages?

Already in a discussion, now what do we do with an existing marriage relationship? Each couple is different and there are varying levels of how they are relating, are they in troubled waters? How do they get on the same page with one another? Start over. Start anew, yesterday is gone and nothing can be done to change what has happened. The good, the bad, indifferent etc. Start afresh. Start dating again, start asking questions. A relationship must be nurtured, worked at and expressed. What are your goals as a couple? Commitment is a must in any relationship, honesty and integrity are foundations for commitment. God created marriage. The purpose of a marriage is to serve God. Each individual has their respective relationship with God, and it needs to grow daily. Same with a marriage, it needs to grow in God as well as with each other. Without the help of the Holy Spirit guiding the failure rates are remarkably high. Look at statistics, even in the churches today, failed marriages are too high.

Summary:

Relationships start with God’s love. Everything in God is based on relationships.

He wants people to love with His love.

Friends and acquaintances are important, a simple smile can create a lifelong relationship.

Do we want to create relationships? Do we tend to be arrogant and make others feel inferior? The Pharisees knew the scriptures, and we learn that “The letter kills but the spirit gives life”.

Right relationships start with receiving God’s love. He wants people to love with His love. God Freights our words with His Spirit and we are to just speak and/or make eye contact with a smile, which are means to impart His love. Relationships are what matter; they are far more important that having all the answers. The age and or experience level are irrelevant, it is the relationship that ministers.

Expect to hear God speak through another, God flows through people. Right relationships are created by a word from God.

How well do you know whom you will be relating with?

Are you willing to truthfully communicate?

Will you become best friends and commit to each other with all you are?

Having an honest foundation enables the building of a strong, healthy relationship.

Do you bring flowers or chocolates to a potential girl friend? Is she allergic to flowers, does she hate chocolate? We do not want false starts.

For a marriage, did you talk before being married? Did you discuss your Plans, your dreams, your desires? How well did you communicate?

In communicating one must be brutally honest. Truth is the most important thing in a relationship. If you cannot be truthful with the person you want to relate to, it will usually come out in a way you would not expect. This is what causes rifts and divisions in a relationship.

Become best of friends, be a partnership in everything. Relationships have challenges and blessings, being a partner will help each other through them all.

Love comes from the Father, God is Love. Who is the Father? A living God, a living love.

Relationships built on the love of the Lord will grow.
