The 118th Congress is (finally) in session! For the first time in about a century the United States watched numerous votes take place to select a Speaker of the House. And we watched multiple back room deals take place in real time. What does all this mean? Well, let's talk about it.
Soooo.... somehow this episode did not publish two weeks ago.
On December 6th, the ladies gathered to discuss the Georgia election and our opinions of the candidates, of which we had many.
So... the ladies have kids home from college, kids home for Christmas break and work overload this week. We're calling back to an episode released last Christmas where we discussed Christmassy horror movies. Have an incredibly wonderful holiday and see you next year!
Everyone has a perception of Beauty Pageants and Cheer. But is what we've been conditoned to think fair or even accurate? This week we are joined by Yolanda Stennett, aka Mrs. International 2021 and Head Coach of Cheer teams on both the high school and university level. After listening to this discussion, we're pretty sure you won't think of either in the same light.
Hurricanes, Tornados, and Droughts oh my! The weather has changed so much over recent years. The ladies discuss climate change and the things we can do to still have a liveable planet for our decendents in the decades to come.
This replay is from Mother's Day weekend 2021 when the Loud Women talked about self-care. It's an important topic anytime. From reading a good book, receiving therapy, going to the gym or taking a trip to Target....self-care is self-defined, and even more important during a pandemic.
So much has happened in the last three weeks. The ladies discus their lives and several news topics. Join the ladies as they delve into the things that blew their minds this month.
Quiet Quitting. It's a term we have been hearing a lot lately, but is it really something new? Is it really on the employees or do employers have unreasonable standards? Should it even be called "quitting"? We discuss all this and more in this episode of Live Laugh Loud.
This week we speak to author Munashe Kaseke about her short story collection Send Her Back and Other Stories. As someone who immigrated from Zimbabwe at the age of 19, she brings to light the struggles found in the intersectionality of being an immigrant, a woman, and more specifically a woman of color. We loved it! And we're sure you will too.
