The humble birth of Jesus Christ reveals a surprising truth.
What truth?
In this episode of Live the Bible, we take a special look at Christmas and how the pursuits of our lives and passions can easily get misplaced. Jesus shows us that the way up is down.
The way to true greatness in the eyes of God is to be a servant to Him—and to others—just like Jesus was from the day He was born.

What does it mean to be wholly committed to the Lord?
It's easy to trust God for those things we already trust Him for. But what about those other areas of life? Things that aren't going so well? It can be a bit trickier, can't it?
In this episode of Live the Bible, we're learning from Asa in 1 Kings 15. When he began his reign over ancient Judah, Asa did so much right! But when he had to trust God for something closer to home (literally!), Asa found out that trust has many levels.
Deepen your trust in God and listen now.

When looking for wisdom, many of us turn to a friend or loved one. But there's another person/voice we often listen to, sometimes without realizing it.
Ourselves.
But our inner voice is often fueled by fears and feelings rather than facts or faith. It's important we sift our voice through the filter of Scripture before listening too closely. This is how we live the Bible.
In this episode of Live the Bible, we're learning from an Old Testament character who allowed his feelings to drive his decisions: King Jeroboam. He ended up prioritizing convenience over following the Lord.
But there's a better way.

How does shoe leather taste?
When we put our foot in our mouth, it's more than embarrassing. And when we aren’t quick to make things right, it only gets tougher.
In today's episode of Live the Bible, we're learning about "Avoiding a Royally Wrong Response" from King Rehoboam in 1 Kings 12. He had a great opportunity to listen and to respond well. Instead, he put his sandal in his mouth.
God's Word offers us a better way to respond—every time.

What does it take for God to change your life?
Not a life, but YOUR life.
For most of us, real change takes two things—a lot of time and a lot of pain. In this episode of Live the Bible, we’re opening our Bibles to Genesis for the story of Jacob, Isaac’s son who wrestled with God and emerged a changed man.
It’s a fantastic story with powerful applications we can apply to OUR lives right away!

There’s one thing about you that should never grow old: your faith.
Because our relationship with God requires daily faith, our faith should be new each day. No one exemplifies this better than Abraham. And in this episode of Live the Bible, we’re turning to Genesis to see how he lived with vibrant, daily faith until the day he died.
Abraham’s story is an amazing encouragement, because even as a hero of our faith, he’s just like us!

You weren’t made for death.
Death isn’t part of God’s design for us. That’s why we grieve when we come face-to-face with death. As believers, we also look forward to resurrection. But what do we do when we face death—and life hasn’t lived up to our expectations?
In this episode of Live the Bible, we’re turning to Genesis to see the answer in Abraham’s response to his wife’s death. It’s an answer we all need—and one that won’t disappoint.

If you made a map of your life, what points would you include?
Looking back at the turning points, small events, and seasons in our lives, it’s astounding to see how God has prepared us for each moment.
In this episode of Live the Bible, we’re in Genesis continuing our study of a man whose life showcases God’s providential guidance: Abraham.
This time, we’ll see the patriarch’s greatest test of faith. It’s one we, too, must face—and Abraham shows us how to do it well.

Which feels closer: 1997 or 2047?
1997! Twenty-five years ago feels like yesterday—and yet, waiting 25 MORE years feels like forever. That’s true in our spiritual lives too. And sometimes God asks us to wait a VERY long time.
How can we possibly do that?
In today’s episode of Live the Bible, we’re turning to Genesis where we’ll find in Abraham’s story encouragement to keep believing in God’s promises—no matter how long the wait.
