Sometimes it seems the Lord allows way too much pain in our lives.
In this episode of Live the Bible, we fasten our seatbelts and take a look at the most miserable man in the Bible—Job. If you’ve ever wondered where God is in your struggles, I think you’ll find the verses of Job, frankly, as encouraging as they are surprising!

How do you find the courage to face a fearful situation?
In this episode of Live the Bible, we look at the life of one of the most courageous women in the Bible—Esther. Don’t think that just because she was a queen that she didn’t struggle just like us. She did!
Esther shows us the confidence we can have in God’s sovereignty becomes the reason for our courage to do what’s right.

How well do you guard your source of truth?
In this episode of Live the Bible, we look at God’s "Water Gate” in Jerusalem. That’s not a political term, but a gate that walled off and protected the water source. At this gate, Ezra gave a challenging message to God’s people that we need to hear as well. We also need to guard our time with the source of our sustenance—God’s Word.

What do you do when trusting God is all you have?
In this episode of Live the Bible, we look at a king we don’t often hear much about. Asa had faith, but he struggled to put that faith into his life. Asa is a great reminder that when God shows up in one area of our lives, it’s just a sampler of the fact that he can show up in every area. Our Christian life is where we walk by faith and not by sight. This podcast will show us how.

Have you ever felt like a failure? You are not alone!
In this episode of Live the Bible, we look at the great King David, a man after God’s own heart—and a man who failed. How in the world did he retain his position after such awful failure? It’s an important question, because the answer tells us how we maintain our close walk with the Lord after we fail in our Christian lives.

Sometimes it feels like God has us fenced in. He surrounds us with rules or hard circumstances, and the only way to move forward, it seems, is to hop the fence.
In this episode of Live the Bible, we look at the lives of Manasseh and Josiah. They remind us that the Bible isn’t a museum piece or decoration for our home coffee tables. God gave us his Word and preserved it throughout the centuries so that His truth can help our lives. This episode tells us how.

This Easter week, often called the Passion Week, we need a fresh reminder from God’s Word that we have hope for tomorrow—and why.
In this episode of Live the Bible, we continue from last week and look in particular at the Feast of First Fruits. It has a principle that points to the resurrection of Jesus, which is God’s proof positive of the forgiveness of our sins when we have faith in His Son (Rom. 4:25). I pray you have a wonderful Easter and you are encouraged in a time of worship and celebration of the historical, literal, resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.
He is risen!

In these days of worldwide fear, anxiety, and downright panic, we need to hear from God in clear terms. Timeless truths that matter—today.
This episode of Live the Bible focuses on Easter from a perspective you may not have heard before. We will be looking at some of the biblical feasts as they relate to us as Christians—especially in light of the resurrection. The Passover is full of practical truth for us as Christians. Not the least of which is the challenge that we remove the smallest grain of compromise from our lives. We don’t do it in order to be saved or to earn God’s favor, but we do it because we already have his favor given to us through Faith and his son, Jesus Christ. I think you’ll be amazed at how practical this portion of the Bible can be.
During this special Easter season, I am inviting you to join me on a virtual tour of the Passion Week of Jesus. In a series of 3 FREE videos, I walk you through the final week of Christ day by day in Jerusalem. But most importantly, we will see what difference these can make in our lives. How could Solomon have been so wise and yet blow it so badly?
In this episode of Live the Bible, we talk about what we need to succeed in life. Wisdom isn’t enough. It also takes one more action. Solomon offers a great reminder in our lives to do more than simply read the Bible for knowledge and instruction. We should also read it with a mind to apply it in our lives.
