You didn’t get to where you are in life and create the success you have now by telling people how bad you are at things or how unqualified or unskilled or unknowledgeable you are.

No, that’d be crazy. Who would have ever become your client or hired you for your job, accepted you into college, or even given you a mortgage on your house or a car loan?

Even if you don’t think you’re the best at it, you’re already practiced and good at promoting yourself to others to some degree in order to make things happen in your life.

Your life is proof of that.

The world has trained you to “put our best foot forward” and “look good” to others so that you can get what you want – from money to relationships - so it’s in your programming to go here.

And that’s not “wrong,” but you’re leaving a lot on the table with that approach.

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Tension in your body, tension in your mind” a time or two in the life transformation or subconscious reprogramming circles.

And it’s true.

Everything you experience in life is a direct reflection of the state and programming of your mind – from tension in your body to the numbers in your bank account.

Yet, when it comes to effectively rewiring and reprogramming yourself and changing your life so that it sticks and your results stick, too, the tension in your body is often an overlooked player in your transformation.

Yes, tension in your mind creates body tension.

Yes, tension in your body is an indicator of tension in your mind, and it creates tension in your mind, too.

This is powerful awareness, but it goes WAY deeper than that.

In fact, if you’re experiencing tension in your body, discomfort, illness, disease, or anything else unwanted in your body, this has a profound impact on your reprogramming.

It makes it slower.

It makes it harder.

It keeps the reprogramming you’re doing and life changes you’re making from “sticking” long-term.

Trying to change your life in any lasting way is useless unless you’re dialed in on this…

Are you intentionally implementing the life changing inner work practices and your Soul’s guidance that will actually move the needle for you?

You move through most of your life on autopilot with around 95% or more of your decisions each day made for you unconsciously due to your programming and brain based habits.

I was reminded of this myself recently, reflecting on how much motherhood has thrown me into a whole new schedule and set of priorities that I honestly allowed to derail me from being as intentional and in integrity with doing my own inner work, spiritual practice, and reprogramming to the depth and quality I intend. And I’ve since addressed this.

Your Soul doesn’t give you lessons when it is convenient.

Are you an unwitting ambulance chaser?

I laugh because it’s kind of a silly question, yet not, at the same time.

You’re probably thinking, “No, I don’t chase ambulances. I don’t pay attention to the trauma and disasters and drama in the world.”

And I hear you. Because you’re here reading this, I know you don’t give it much attention.

But where do you NOT realize you are giving it your attention?

This popped up for me recently when a fast growing wildfire was just a mile or two from my parent’s house.

I honestly didn’t give it any notice, even talking with my parents on the phone when they told me about the fire. Even then I had this deep knowing that felt pure and true that they were ok.

But about a day later, I felt this little urge pop up saying, “Go hop on INCIWEB and see how the fire is doing. I should check just so I know what is going on and can be prepared to help Mom and Dad if I need to.”

And there it was…that little voice nudging me to pay attention. I dismissed the urge because I see it for what it is - the ambulance chasing instinct that is ingrained in all of us.

Well wouldn’t you know it. My toddler recently shared a little head cold with me. LOL!

I went running again a few weeks ago for the first time in around 4 years.

Up until that day, I’d had a lot of resistance to start running again – toddler logistics, post-pregnancy body stuff (IYKYK LOL!), and so on.

Yet, that morning I got up and heard my Soul tell me clear as a bell, “Teal, go for a run.” And I didn’t wait. I didn’t try to figure it out. I didn’t hesitate. I executed. It felt fabulous, and the whole rest of the day was like floating-on-a-cloud good.

Is it just me or is everybody telling you to get in touch with your “divine feminine” more?

That you need to be a better “receiver.”

That you need to be able to “hold more” in order to receive more.

And all of that’s fine and dandy and good.

Certainly, leaning into my feminine energy and harmonizing this aspect of myself with my divine masculine energy has been important for me in my growth.

It’s something I see with nearly each of my clients, too, as an area for their exploration and curiosity, especially since our culture teaches us to operate, think, and trust the more divine masculine elements of our energy – the doing, the hustling, the action, the analytical thought.

But…

Being a better receiver and rewiring yourself to hold more abundance is only half of the story when it comes to you getting into touch with your divine feminine and harmonizing and integrating that energy into your life.

Because it’s not just about receiving. It’s also about GIVING.

That’s the flip side of the coin. Both go together, and you’re certainly not in harmony, let alone creating what you want in life, if you’re not both giving and receiving.

What’s more, it’s not just any old giving either.
