Dave and Rachelle are THRILLED to be joined this week by superstar comic book artist, Steve McNiven! Steve was the artist on Marvel's Civil War series, as well as Wolverine: Old Man Logan, Amazing Spider-Man 'Brand New Day,' Nemesis, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America, Uncanny Inhumans and more! He also just got back from the world premier of Captain America: Civil War in Los Angeles, and he talks about that experience, as well as his visit to the set in Atlanta last year. He shares some spoiler-free thoughts about the movie.
Before that, Rachelle and Dave talk about all the latest news and gossip, including the Dr. Strange teaser trailer, the announcement of the Spider-Man movie title (and some casting rumours), Dave shares his thoughts on Moon Knight #1, and Rachelle is being buried alive in Civil War/Winter Soldier/Sebastian Stan content. It's not the worst way to go.
They just couldn't put it off any longer: Dave and Rachelle bite the bullet and watch the second (and thankfully final) 1979 Captain America television movie, Death Too Soon. It's...not good.
Also in this episode: Civil War mania has begun! Plus, all the announcements from Image Expo, some exciting new series that started up this week like Black Panther, and The Fix, and Rachelle probably talks way too much about the new promotional Pop Secret popcorn Marvel comics.
In times of illness we can always turn to comic books for comfort. Or Captain America: The First Avenger. But certainly comics.
Rachelle is very sick this week so she and Dave record this week's episode via Skype. They share their go-to "sick day" comics; the comics that sooth their souls like so much chicken soup when they are under the weather.
Before that, they discuss the photos from the set, of Dr. Strange, the delightful Supergirl/Flash crossover episode, the return of young Steve Rogers in comics, and, in "This Week in Winter Soldier," this glorious age we live in that fans are calling "Sebpocalypse."
Hoo-boy.
Rachelle and Dave and special guest Johnathan Munroe watched Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice and got together to discuss it. Or vent about it, to be more accurate. Opinions range from 'mostly terrible' to 'the worst thing.' Truly it is a movie that Frank Miller would call "way too cynical."
Before they get to that, Dave, Rachelle and Johnathan share their thoughts on some of the DC Rebirth announcements, as well as Daredevil Season 2, the new Pee Wee movie, and Jeremy Renner's interest in a Hawkeye Netflix series. In the This Week in Winter Soldier segment: Rachelle saw The Bronze! And she liked it a lot!
With Batman vs Superman: The Dawn of Justice looming, Dave and Rachelle decide to cheer themselves up by discussing some of their favourite Superman and Batman comic stories. Man, those guys have had some adventures together.
Also in this episode: Daredevil season two is here, Harrison Ford returns to the role of Indiana Jones, Henry Cavill does a thing in Times Square, and Sebastian Stan reduces everyone to tears by explaining the contents of Bucky's backpack.
This week's episode is, like, half This Week in Winter Soldier. With a new Civil War trailer, tons of Civil War media coverage, plus the impending release of The Bronze and all of the the Sebastian Stan press related to that, things are a little crazy at the Living Between Wednesdays Headquarters.
Before they get to wrapping their brains around the deluge of Civil War info, Rachelle and Dave talk about the casting of Zendaya in Spider-Man, and Dave is surprised at how into Uncanny Avengers he is. Plus, Jeremy Renner is talking to the press about Civil War and you know what that means...another installment of the Renner Report!
What's happening to Hollywood? Every actor has the body of a heavyweight champion's bodyguard. Are superhero movies to blame/thank? Well, yes, probably. Is it a problem? Well...
Dave and Rachelle enter into a very important discussion this week on how much beefcake is too much. But first they talk about the Oscars, the Ghostbusters trailer, Black Widow #1, more stupid Batman vs Superman news, and a new Daniel Clowes book. In the This Week in Winter Soldier segment, ohmygod there is a comic book that is full of Winter Soldier this week! And he's making breakfast! Also, Rachelle debates whether or not she should spend way too much money on a trip to Wizard World Philadelphia, and would anyone like to go see The Bronze with her?
Rachelle, creator of the comic book blog Living Between Wednesdays, and Dave, manager of the Strange Adventures comic shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia, share their love of all things comic book and super hero related.
This week Rachelle and Dave are more than a little disgusted by the announcement of an R-rated cut of Batman vs Superman. So they talk about that a bunch. Also in this episode: Fantastic Four cleans up at the Razzies, a new Daredevil trailer, Oscar anticipation, and we have a new Iron Fist, and he's as white as the new fallen snow!
Rachelle, creator of the comic book blog Living Between Wednesdays, and Dave, manager of the Strange Adventures comic shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia, share their love of all things comic book and super hero related.
With the recent announcement of DC's Rebirth, Dave and Rachelle roll their eyes and decide to help out poor ol' DC comics. Rachelle has a no-fail plan for DC and she lays it all out in this episode. Also in this episode: what movie studios SHOULD take away from the success of Deadpool (versus what they probably WILL take away), Winter Solider is finally in a comic book again, and people think Sebastian Stan looks like young Mark Hamill...including Mark Hamill.
Rachelle, creator of the comic book blog Living Between Wednesdays, and Dave, manager of the Strange Adventures comic shop in Halifax, Nova Scotia, share their love of all things comic book and super hero related.

Dave and Rachelle spent Valentine's Day with their one true love this week: Captain America! But maybe not the right Captain America. They watched the 1979 television movie, starring Reb Brown, and, hoo boy...it's not great.
Also in this episode: A NEW CIVIL WAR TRAILER!!!! And a Civil War Prelude digital comic. Plus, Rob Liefeld talks some noise and Todd McFarlane has written a Spawn movie script. Also in this episode: improved sound quality!
