This weekend we continued our series Lessons from the Launch. Jesus made sure he was in God's plan, recruited the right people, and walked in the right power. Before he left, Jesus assured the disciples he would send them the Holy Spirit to be in them. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. This weekend we continued with our fast, drawing near to God and our neighbor as we looked at powerful principles for making a difference in our world. The past year (and the beginning of this year) highlighted the need for our world to be different. Sin and corruption make a world ready for redemption and restoration. Jesus lived so that we could have life and bring that life to the world around us. However, one week of passion does not change anything. Today we launch our fast! 21 days of fasting and 21 days of fellowship. For the next few weeks, we will look at the lives of those who have made a difference in the world in spite of difficult circumstances. We will learn from Daniel's example. Daniel was absolutely powerless in a natural sense. He was a prisoner of war conscripted to serve a pagan King in Babylon. Let's look at how God used him to invade Babylon.
