Not all superheroes wear capes or fly around or have superhuman strength, today on 11-1 Sinéad met a real hero, a woman who is the first to pull up her sleeves muck in and get things done, whether it's leading a troop of volunteers to clean up the town in preparation for the fleadh or working tirelessly to protect a historic monument or fundraising for charity the list goes on. If something is to be done to improve the lives of the people in her community or to improve the town she lives in Ann Mc Veigh is first in line to do it. Despite many setbacks in her own life she always has the best interests of her family and community at heart. Ann Mc Veigh joined Sinéad for Monday Motivation.

Does the thoughts of getting up to face another week in work at a job you hate fill you with dread? Today Sinéad met Niall Fergus who left a career in building surveying behind to do something he really loved. He is now a fully qualified montessori teacher working at Pugwash bay Creche in Drogheda and has never been happier. He also spends his free time coaching 2-7 year olds in mini atheletics. Niall described the day in 2016 when he had an ephiphany and decided to change career and why he is never looked back! He had some great advice for others thinking of taking that leap.

Starting out in the male dominated world of motor racing she was labelled a dolly bird but she proved her detractors wrong by winning thousands of races, she is the oldest ever person to race a formula one car aged 79 and despite going through her fair share of hardships she continues to pick herself up and start again. 'There are no female coaches you can't do that' Former FAI UEFA A license coach Laura Cusack from Tullyallen refused to let anyone or anything get in the way of her dreams. She tells Sinéad how at aged just 14 she did a coaching course with the FAI and despite being the only female in the room and the youngest by far she never let anything get in the way of achieving her dream of becoming a coach and working for the FAI.  Laura's sheer determination and hard work is inspiring. She brings us Monday Motivation on 11-1

She is a force to be reckoned with, she launched her own career, in marketing, straight from school, taking the hard route and studying marketing by night. By her late 20's she had done everything from selling print to home heating oil.  Not one to shy away from a risk she re-mortgaged her home to study getting an MBA which led to a senior marketing role with L'oreal, before moving into the food industry. She is co- founder of  the East Coast Bakehouse based in Drogheda, which she set up with husband Michael Carey. Located just outside Drogheda is one of the  biggest biscuit-making facility's in Ireland and the UK. Alison Cowzer joined Sinéad Brassil for Monday Motivation.

As we are just over a week to go till the Leaving and Junior cert exams Sinéad invited Termonfeckin man Jack Synnott to 11-1 for Monday Motivation. In 2017 Jack achieved the highest Leaving cert results in the country getting 8 higher 1 grades he has some really great advice for students in the lead up to the big day.

Keith Russell came to our attention when he decided to run the gruelling Dublin city marathon while pushing his daughter Alanna in her wheelchair. Alanna was born with spastic quadriplegic cerebal palsy and suffered a lot of health difficulties in her short life. She sadly passed away in 2017 but instead of allowing the grief to swallow him up, super dad Keith Russell decided to keep running, raising much needed money for the Meadows Respite service to help families like theirs. He gives 11-1 listeners much needed #MondayMotivation

Ever since she was 8 years old Dr Niamh Shaw has dreamed of going to space. So many of us have big dreams as children but so few of us are brave enough to pursue those dreams no matter what gets in our way or how hard the road may be. Dr Niamh Shaw has made getting to space her life purpose. She revealed why getting to space is so important to her and why educating the public on all things space related is something she loves to do. She gave much needed motivation on 11-1
