LnR 014 Asked Texts Tasks (Replay from about two years ago)
In this episode we will practice words that are really hard to pronounce! After the dialogue I discuss English names that are used for both males and females, living at home while studying at a university, and how often American university classes usually meet each week.
Dialogue
A: Hey, Tracy, I have a question for you.
B: Oh, hi, Robin. How can I help you?
A: I missed class yesterday because ('cuz) I had a cold. What's the homework for tomorrow?
B: I missed class, too, but I've already asked Kelly what the homework is.
A: You asked Kelly? OK, how many texts do we have to read in our reading textbook?
B: We only have to read two texts, but they are long. And we have to do Task 1 and Task 2.
A: Two tasks for tomorrow? Those always take so much time to finish!
B: Yeah, I know. And when I get home, I have more tasks to do.
A: What do you mean?
B: My mother wants me to give the dog a bath and then clean the bathroom. My aunt and uncle are coming over for a visit this weekend.
A: OK, have fun!
