Hi everyone, I'm changing the way I do the LnR Classic Literature podcasts. I will now make short recordings of about four minutes and 30 seconds, plus the time for the happy music at the beginning and end of the recording. I'm doing this because I am concerned that some listeners are not interested in listening to longer podcasts. I am also doing this so that I can make these into YouTube videos for teachers (like me!) to use in their classrooms. Another big difference is that I will be posting a new one every day! I thought about doing these once a week, as usual, but I wanted to try something different, since the recordings are so short. I'll try this for a while to see if my listeners like it. I will still be giving you TQ (Ten Questions) interviews on Wednesdays and LnR Casual English on Fridays.

The first place that I can well remember was a large pleasant meadow with a pond of clear water in it. Some shady trees leaned over it, and rushes and water-lilies grew at the deep end. Over the hedge on one side we looked into a plowed field, and on the other we looked over a gate at our master's house, which stood by the roadside; at the top of the meadow was a grove of fir trees, and at the bottom a running brook overhung by a steep bank.
