Her work has appeared in The Creative Independent, Hobart, The Rumpus, and Shabby Doll House. Kristen conducts, organizes and plans literary events and readings.
She's an ambitious and creative talent with a lively personality. What a trip! I feel quite lucky to have snagged her for the show. Please enjoy!
On this episode of the Low Fi Lit, I had the honor to speak with Lucy K Shaw - author of Woman With Hat! Lucy is the famed creator of the Shabby Doll House magazine in 2011 and Profound Experience. She's the author of The Motion (421 Atlanta) and How To Be A Perfect Bride and Troisieme Vague in '21.
In '21 Lucy started Shabby Doll House press. Later in the Spring, she'll be publishing Caroline Rayner debut, Moan Wilds and Sebastian Castillo's Salmon.
Also, check out the monthly book club every month.
Note - I stayed up till three to conduct this interview so I'm not very talkative plus I didn't want to interrupt Lucy so I let her do most of the talking.
All of this and more can be found at

Yvonne started hanging around the Shabby Doll House reading group awhile back so I invited her on and we sat down and chatted away abt many cool and kick-ass subjects!
We opened with her poem from the advent calendar. And later on she reads it again.
She's pretty cool. She's an editor down at Berkeley for Ki magazine which is connected to Parle Qui - another magazine down there.
We discussed strikes, literature, and movies from China.
Follow her twitter account @obliscentis !
And subscribe to Ki magazine in the future :ki - Qui Parle (berkeley.edu)
Talked with Aeon Ginsberg (ey/em, she/her) - author of Greyhound - published by Noemi press in 2020. And many other places like 'In The Mood Mag'
We discussed their poetry, movies, and wrestling, The Rock, and the Fast and the Furious movies and professional wrestling! On this episode my microphone had my voice pretty low. Sounds like I'm in the background, also, we recorded in the morning. My head was not in the game.

Today, I pulled together a couple clips from past readings over ten years ago. These are clips from Sarah Jean Alexander and Lucy reading from shabby doll house mixtape vol one and Lucy reading from the mixtape vol 2 circa 2013 (?)
There's no analysis!!! Just me hosting the clips that's all!!!! I'm experimenting with hosting clips and stuff. I hope Sarah Jean and Lucy don't send me a ceast and desist!
Here are the links to the original readings.
