Legendary Boston Globe columnist Dan Shaughnessy joined Lobey, Lynchie and Hank to talk about Major League Baseball's opening week of the season. Dan described what it was like covering "Opening Day at Fenway" without fans, socially distancing media, wearing a mask and not being able to hear the PA announcer inside the press box. Fascinating stuff!

The guys talked about the quality of the Red Sox, should MLB even be playing a season and what might happen with the Florida Marlins, who have 17 players infected by Covid19.

They also talked about the New England Patriots now that five players have opted out of playing this season, including star linebacker Dont'a Hightower! Dan also offered his take on college football's attempt to play a season and what he thought of the Ivy League's decision to cancel their fall sports programs!

Lobey, Lynchie and Hank talk about Mike's new golf driver, the ridiculous amounts of money we'll spend on golf clubs and the changes in them over time. Bob admitted that he just gave his son some of the 100 or so putters he had. Hank hasn't bought new clubs in 26 years, since his honeymoon. Why would he bring clubs on his honeymoon you ask? Good question. He'll tell you!

The guys discussed the Washington Redskins name change and the new sexual harassment allegations lodged against them by 15 women. That is one toxic team right now. The guys also talked about the ongoing attempt for the four major sports to get back into action and which ones have the best chance NOW, especially since the pandemic surged in certain parts of the country!

Lobey, Lynchie and Hank discuss the Ivy League's decision to cancel their fall sports season. Was it the right thing to do? What about the other college leagues and conferences? Should they follow suit?

Next, the guys talked about Philadelphia Eagles' wide receiver DeSean Jackson's anti-Semitic remarks, his subsequent apology and Julian Edelman's offer to take him to the Holocaust Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington DC.

Lobey, Lynchie and Hank talk a bit about Mike's experience at Phillips Exeter Academy after Bob paid a visit to the Exeter, NH area.

Then the guys debated the merits of Cam Newton as a member of the New England Patriots. Will he start, be a distraction, be a renewed superstar, etc? They also talked about which of the four major sports has the best chance of being successful returning to play as the pandemic wears on.

Hank is vacationing with his family on the Jersey Shore and is trying to find former Philadelphia Flyers' Hall of Fame goalie, Bernie Parent, the sole reason Philly beat the Bruins in 1984 to win the Stanley Cup!

Lobey, Lynchie and Hank talk about whether or not pro sports will start back up in the next month.

They also talked about Lynchie being the batboy on Billy Conigliaro's Swampscott High baseball team. Hank talked about Billy snubbing him for an autograph when he was a kid.

Then the guys talked about weird stuff that happened during their careers, like when Bill Buckner walked off during an interview with Bob. Then Mike and Bob told a few funny stories about things that happened with their cameramen during their time as Boston's two biggest TV sportscasters!

Lobey, Lynchie and Hank talk about Torii Hunter's accusations about racism at Fenway Park, as well as similar allegations lodged by Adam Jones. The Red Sox came out and confirmed for the first time that the accusations were true! They also talked about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and his admission that the league didn't listen to the players carefully enough when they began taking a knee two seasons ago to protest racism in America. They also talked about the Colin Kaepernick situation and whether or not he will land a job this season in the NFL.

Lobey, Lynchie and Hank talk about race in sports and society, in the aftermath of the brutal murder of George Floyd. Should athletes step up and be more vocal about race and societal issues? Due they have an obligation to do do?

Lobey, Lynchie and Hank talk to Jason Hehir, the brilliant director of "The Last Dance", a ESPN and Netflix 10 part documentary about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls final season together! Jason talked about establishing a relationship with Jordan, building trust, how he approached the three interviews he did with him, how he told the story of the Bulls' final season and what goes into making a 10 part documentary.

Jason also discussed how he was inspired by Lobey and Lynchie to pursue a career in sports journalism. Jason's first interview ever was with Lobey, when he was an 11-year-old sixth grader at the Horace Mann school in Newton. Then, when attending Williams College, he was an intern for Lynchie at Channel 5.
