All of the anticipation is gone now that the NFL has released their schedule. The Atlanta Falcons are set to start the season against their rivals, the New Orleans Saints. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about what part of the schedule stood out to them. Also, they talked about what players for the Atlanta Braves could be in for a good weekend against the San Diego Padres. Secondly, the Atlanta Hawks are at a crossroad after being bounced out of the NBA playoffs. Travis Schlenk and Nate McMillan have to produce next season after being called out by Tony Ressler. Lastly, in For The Culture, there is an event in June coming to Atlanta called The Big Homecoming and Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste are really excited about it. With them being HBCU grads, they understand the magnitude of this event and what it could mean for the city of Atlanta. The NFL schedule party is done, and the Atlanta Falcons finally have their schedule. Jon Chuckery talked about some of the things that stood out to him. At first glance, the beginning of the schedule is pretty difficult. Also, the Falcons’ offensive line will be tested heavily in 2022. Secondly, the Atlanta Falcons’ offensive line, as a whole, have been one of the worst offensive lines in pass protection in the NFL. Jon Chuckery found some very interesting stats about that very thing. Chuckery believes there is no way that the Falcons can get better without fixing their issues up front. Lastly, the athletic director for the Iowa Hawkeyes, Gary Barta, had some interesting words to say about college football. Barta stated that he wanted student athletes to still have to sit out a year to help slow down all of these NIL deals. Chuckery explains how Barta is everything that is wrong with college football.

The Atlanta Falcons’ schedule has come out, and the most important part is when Desmond Ridder will take over as the starter. Mark Zinno talked about how there is no real good spot for him to do it because the Thursday night game isn't until week ten and the bye is week 14. Also, he’s not sure that four to five games is enough to really see what they have in Ridder. Secondly, Hutson Mason, of 680 The Fan, joined A to Z with Mark Zinno to talk about the Atlanta Falcons’ schedule. To start the season, the Falcons could be in for a lot of trouble. If they don't beat the Seattle Seahawks in week three, it could be a disastrous start for them. Plus, the guys take a look at the high-level quarterbacks that the Falcons must face throughout the entire season. Lastly, the NFL has released their entire schedule. There will be football on Thanksgiving & Christmas. The holiday schedule on Thanksgiving isn't that appetizing, but the Christmas day schedule is a huge middle finger to the NBA. Zinno is very curious to see how the NBA responds to their Christmas day schedule.

The Atlanta Braves get a much needed win against the Boston Red Sox to split the series. Orlando Arcia hit a walk-off home run in the ninth inning last night. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste discussed giving Brian Snitker getting partial credit for shaking things up in the batting lineup. The Atlanta Falcons season opener leaked, and the Atlanta Dream get a win. Secondly, Notre Dame head basketball coach Mike Brey had some choice words for college coaches complaining about NIL. Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders chimed in about the NCAA as well. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about where the NCAA stands, and with Mark Emmert stepping down, there needs to be a plan on how to move forward. Lastly, Tarik Cohen, who used to play for the Chicago Bears, wrote a letter to his younger self in the Players Tribune that spoke to what he has gone through the past couple of years. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste discussed the benefits of Cohen telling his story. Also, they discussed that this generation of kids are admirable for being so open about what they actually go through.

It was a much-needed win for the Atlanta Braves over the Boston Red Sox. Mark Zinno, who’s been preaching to Braves fans to relax, was getting a little bothered by the fact that they were struggling so much against an inferior team. Also, they discussed how Nate McMillan and Trae Young are the right combination to lead this team forward and what moves can be made to make them better. Lastly, the NFL is set to release the 2022 game schedule. The Atlanta Falcons won't have many games in primetime to worry about. Falcons fans should be intrigued by the Thursday night football schedule given the new contract with Amazon.

Jon Chuckery had a message for all of the Atlanta Hawks’ fans who want Travis Schlenk to trade for every superstar in the league. Some of the names that are being thrown out there aren’t really available. Chuckery discussed how superstars normally don’t become available that often, so if you get a chance to get one, you have to get them and figure out the rest later. Secondly, Brad Rowland, of Locked On Hawks, joined Hittin’ Hard with Jon Chuckery to discuss how the Atlanta Hawks can simply get better. Rowland mentioned that the Hawks may use one or both of their first round picks to get immediate help on their roster. Also, they discussed how short the leash is for Nate McMillan and Travis Schlenk with Tony Ressler. Lastly, the Atlanta Falcons drafted Kyle Pitts fourth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Pitts went on to have a solid season with Matt Ryan throwing him the football. Jon Chuckery discussed how Pitts, in his second year, can get better in his second year in the NFL. Also, Chuckery talks about how the Falcons should figure out a way to get Pitts in the endzone more.

The Atlanta Falcons are getting ramped for rookie mini-camp at the end of the week. Arthur Smith spoke to the media about how he wants to “coach with a chip on his shoulder” this season. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste discuss what that may mean for the Falcons going forward as an organization. They pick who could be this year’s version of Kyle Pitts. Also, they point out some positives in the Atlanta Braves’ loss to the Boston Red Sox. Secondly, Atlanta Hawks’ owner Tony Ressler spoke to the media about how Nate McMillan “underperformed” as a head coach this season. There were many factors as to why that happened. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste took a deep dive into why McMillan underperformed, and they explained how he can stick around past next season. Lastly, Mike Davis was recently released from the Atlanta Falcons. He has since signed on with the Baltimore Ravens. He is in the news again because his home was burglarized, in which over 100,000 worth of jewelry was stolen, and some custom cleats that were dedicated to his father. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste have a clear message for the folks who broke into Davis’ home.

The Atlanta Falcons hired Arthur Smith with the intent that he would be able to bring an identity to the Falcons’ struggling offense. Jon Chuckery talked about how the offense can get back on track. Smith and Terry Fontenot have to find their next 1,000 yard running back. Also, Chuckery let it be known that the offensive line has to be better in order to establish an identity. Secondly, it’s no secret that the Atlanta Hawks are in a space where they need to make a move in order to become a competitor in the Eastern Conference. Donovan Mitchell has been rumored to be on the trading block. Jon Chuckery believes that if Mitchell wants to be a Hawk, the Hawks need to figure out a way to make it happen and figure out the rest later. Lastly, the Atlanta Braves were a disappointment in a loss last night to the Boston Red Sox. The Braves have struggled with runners in scoring position throughout this season. Jon Chuckery discussed the possibility of moving some guys around in the lineup to shake things up. Also, he pointed out how Marcel Ozuna has really struggled in the clean-up spot.
