The Atlanta Hawks have to figure out a way for Trae Young and Nate McMillan to get better. McMillan clearly has some flaws, but his biggest flaw may be that he can't get Young, and subsequently his team, to play any defense. Part of the reason why Lloyd Pierce was fired was because of his relationship with Young. McMillan doesn't force Young to do anything. If Young would start putting some effort into defense, maybe the rest of the team would as well. Secondly, the Atlanta Falcons knew what they were getting in Arnold Ebiketie when they moved up in the second round to select him. Ebiketie has all the measurables you want in an edge rusher. It's possible that Dean Pees saw a lot in him that he saw in another former player he used to coach, Terrell Suggs. Mark Zinno isn't saying that Ebiketie will be Suggs, but they are very similar and playing Ebtketie next to Grady Jarrett could be a solid combination. Lastly, Tom Brady just received the largest contract in sports broadcasting history,and we can thank Tony Romo for that. Athletes leaving the field and going right to the booth without any formal training or experience is exactly what Tony Romo did and now it's a trend that others are following. Brady still has to prove that he can actually do the job, but it won’t be easy.

The Atlanta Falcons are set to hold rookie mini-camp this week for their 2022 NFL Draft class. The Falcons were very explicit about why they took Desmond Ridder in the third round of the NFL Draft. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste discussed whether or not Ridder was the right pick for the Falcons over Malik Willis. Secondly, the Atlanta Hawks were bounced out of the first round of the NBA playoffs in the most damning way. General manager Travis Schlenk and owner Tony Ressler both have hinted at roster changes this offseason. Lastly, Brett Favre’s name is in the news again, this time because he’s being sued by the Mississippi Department of Human Services. Also, they had a very clear message for what the Hall of Fame quarterback should do to make things right.

 It's really hard to make the Atlanta Hawks significantly better without a blockbuster move that shakes up the core of this team. Everyone knows that the Hawks need a secondary defensive piece to not be considered one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Mark Zinno discusses how it’s likely there won't be a big enough move to make for this team to catapult to the top of the Eastern Conference. Secondly, the Atlanta Falcons have rookie mini-camp coming up this weekend. And as always, Mark Zinno makes a bold prediction about one rookie and their role on this team. Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot will ask that rookies to contribute a significant amount given that the Falcons don't have much depth and talent at many positions. Lastly, with the NFL schedule release coming soon, the leaks are starting to come out. But when the full schedule does come out, Mark Zinno won't sit here and predict wins because it's a stupid exercise that really doesn't help fans gauge the accuracy of a team's record. Secondly, former Pittsburgh Panther, Jordan Addison, has really shook up the college football world when he entered his name into the transfer portal. There are reports that seven figure NIL deals might be on the table for the 2021 Biletnikoff award winner. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste discuss how the people who have so many issues with how things are going should start trying to come up with some solutions. Lastly, the Phoenix Suns lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA playoffs. Chris Paul was seen shouting at a fan leaving the arena. Jarvis Davis and Tenitra Batiste talked about the fan reportedly putting his hands on Paul’s mother which ultimately led to him getting escorted out. Also, they discussed how the young man should have had to deal with more consequences outside of just being escorted out.

 The Atlanta Braves are finally starting to show signs of life. The Braves win the series against the Milwaukee Brewers. When Ronald Acuña Jr. is hitting the ball, the entire team just looks and feels different. The next step for the Braves is to sweep the two-game series with the flailing Boston Red Sox. The Braves have an opportunity to reach.500 for the first time this year. Secondly, the Atlanta Falcons will hold rookie mini-camp this weekend. All eyes will be on Drake London and Desmond Ridder. Mark Zinno discussed how his focus will be strictly on Troy Anderson, the 2nd round pick out of Montana State. It was a little bit of an eyebrow raiser when the Falcons selected him 58th overall, so Zinno wanted to see what they saw in him to leave other notable players on the board like Nakobe Dean. Lastly, the Kentucky Derby was a complete shocker. Mark Zinno breaks down Rich Strike’s win, and tries to show how an 80-1 long shot pulled off the upset. There were some critical errors made down the stretch by the jockey, Joel Rosario, who was on Epicenter, that may have cost him the race.

Jalen Carter, Arik Gilbert, and Kelee Ringo are some of the names that he mentions that are projected to go in the first round already. Mark Zinno has said repeatedly that the only job the Atlanta Falcons have is to figure out if Desmond Ridder can play. For example, the Chicago Bears went into the offseason with Andy Dalton and drafted Justin Fields. Bears head coach Matt Nagy decided to go with Dalton to start the season because Fields proved he wasn’t ready. Zinno believes the Falcons should know by training camp if Ridder can play. The consensus for the Atlanta Hawks is that they were a disappointment this season. Hawks owner Tony Ressler spoke to the media yesterday and reiterated that same fact. Jon Chuckery discussed how he has been waiting on Ressler to speak because he was wondering whether or not Ressler would make any drastic moves. There should be a lot of changes to the Hawks’ roster this offseason. Secondly, Tori McElhaney, of the Athletic, joined Hittin’ Hard with Jon Chuckery to discuss some of the Atlanta Falcons' latest moves. They started off by talking about whether or not Deion Jones will be on this roster once the season starts. McElhaney talked about being torn about Jones being around because Grady Jarrett was given an extension and wasn’t necessarily a scheme fit for Dean Pees’ defense. Also, they discussed whether or not Arnold Ebiketie is the best pass rusher on this team. Lastly, Sergio Garcia made comments about wanting to leave the PGA Tour because of a mistake that was made. Jon Chuckery was very disturbed by these comments because Garcia hasn’t always been the most pleasant person to deal with. Chuckery let it be known that if Garcia were to leave, that he would help him out with his plane ticket if he were to leave the country.
