Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans new uniforms have been one of the most exciting topics of the offseason and it appears the organization has begun teasing when they will be revealed as a few billboards in Nashville have been spotted sporting the date of March 12, 2026. This could be the day the Titans reveal the new logo, but just as interesting is that the billboards include three navy stars on a light blue background. After the 2025 season phased out the navy blue, this would be a bit of a surprise, but should make a big portion of the fan base happy as it keeps the two-tone blue theme going. However, there is a chance these are simply the Nike Rivalry alternate uniforms we knew the entire division was getting this offseason, but with past iterations being dropped in August, that isn't a firm rationale either.

The Tennessee Titans offseason has been very exciting, but underneath is all is a slight concern about Cam Ward's shoulder, which was hurt in Week 18, but according to a report over the weekend, Ward should be ready to begin throwing again in 2-3 weeks. This is tremendous news considering all of the change coming with the coaching turnover. Speaking of Cam, Ward participated in a live card breaking event this weekend and might have hinted at who the Titans should draft in the first round, and no surprise, it was his former teammate Rueben Bain, we think. This echoes Jeffery Simmons comments earlier in the offseason that pined for Bain as well. Finally, some news around the NFL should be considered positive for the Titans as John Franklin-Myers had a very interesting comment on social media that could hint at him coming to Tennessee. Also, in running back news, Jevonte Williams got a deal from the Dallas Cowboys that could impact the Titans and Breece Hall, a potential free agent target, has not been tagged yet and may avoid it from the New York Jets.

The Tennessee Titans offensive line seems to be a big spot of confusion within the fan base as many seem set on the Titans using free agency or the draft to get upgrade, but the reality is that will not be happening. Especially at offensive tackle, where Dan Moore and JC Latham will be your starters in 2026. Yes, the Titans OL was not great for most of last year, but improvements after the bye week show they are fully capable of being, at minimum, a mid-tier OL. The right guard spot will need a new face as it is the only open spot, but that will likely be the only change. Cam Ward and the wide receivers also need to do their part to limit the sacks. In 2027, yes, the Titans should look to make some upgrades with high level assets or potentially move people around, but that won't be happening in 2026. Fans need to accept that.

The Tennessee Titans have many needs to address on the roster, but edge rusher is the biggest of them all as the Titans have two starting spots that need to be filled and two more spots of depth that remain open. After that, cornerback is a clear FIVE-ALARM fire as the Titans may need three starters there. Then we look at offense where the wide receiver, tight end, running back and interior offensive line all need reinforcements in a desperate way. Even places like safety and linebacker need some depth. Finally, spots that really don't need much for the Titans include quarterback, interior defensive line and, maybe controversially, offensive tackle!

The Tennessee Titans have needs at premium positions and those should take precedent, but in this particular draft class, taking the best player possible also makes a lot of sense which means considering a Jeremiyah Love or Caleb Downs is the most insane thing the Titans could do. Also, there happens to be a lot of depth at the three spots the Titans need the most, edge, cornerback and wide receiver. This means the Titans still would have a shot to get a great player at their needs spots even if it isn't the first round. Yes, the Titans need to hit their needs, but they simply need good football players too and the offensive line is good enough to make it worth it.

Tennessee Titans new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll spoke for the first time on Wednesday and talked about how much he liked Cam Ward which should have Titans fans excited for the future. Daboll also talked about the rest of the pieces on offense and gave a special shoutout to the running back duo, Chim Dike and JC Latham! Daboll also discussed Calvin Ridley. New defensive coordinator Gus Bradley also spoke with media and gave an interesting comment on how he sees the two different edge rusher spots in the offense. This makes draft conversations very interesting. Finally, the Titans have already lost a coach from Robert Saleh's initial staff as Travis Smith was hired by the Las Vegas Raiders and Ben Bloom may be next to go. This isn't ideal, but it also is not a major detriment to the Titans as neither coach was a positional leader.

The Tennessee Titans have the most cap space in the entire NFL and they can use it to get creative. One creative idea would be to trade for Tua Tagavoiloa and absorb salary from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a high level draft pick. This accomplishes two things; it gets the Titans a valuable pick in the draft AND gives them a great backup quarterback that has ties to new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. This is the kind of trade you see a lot in the NBA and it is less likely in the NFL, but it is certainly possible and the Titans need to consider.

The Tennessee Titans should be looking to add a lot of help to the offense in free agency and a running back like Kenneth Walker coming back to his home state would be perfect. With the news that Walker will not be receiving the franchise tag, the Titans need to jump on the opportunity to pickup Walker and have the money to do it. Especially, with the new that the New York Jets will likely be tagging Breece Hall. If the Titans truly want to get a difference maker at running back, Walker is now their only free agent option. Wide receiver options just got interesting as a recent report indicates the Indianapolis Colts could be moving on from Michael Pittman Jr. Pittman would be an ideal big-body option to work as the X receiver in the Titans offense. While not as good of an option, Romeo Doubs also appears set to hit the open market and could make some sense for the Titans as he could fill the same role. Finally, many Titans fans seem fixated on the idea of getting a #1 receiver for Cam Ward, while that is a noble thought, in reality it is unlikely to happen, which means grabbing as much talent as possible is actually what they should be focusing on.
