Locked On Titans - Daily Podcast On The Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans need help at wide receiver, but Tyreek Hill is not the answer. Hill was released on Monday by the Miami Dolphins and while he has had a great career, Hill is no longer the player he was. You add onto that fact with his age and how he is coming off of a major injury and you have a player the Titans should avoid. Now, add onto all of that the fact Hill is known as a malcontent in the locker room that disrupted and alienated his teammates in Miami, and it is clear the Titans should steer away from yet another veteran wide receiver mistake. His former teammate, Bradley Chubb, is also a no go. Chubb is not an elite player and also comes with injury/age concerns.

The Tennessee Titans need massive help in free agency, but a lot of the good targets could end up getting the franchise tag. Trey Hendrickson fits that description, but the Cincinnati Bengals could be looking to move on for cheap. If the Titans can send a fourth rounder for Hendrickson, say pick 101, they need to do it because the price is worth the potential help Hendrickson can give. However, they need to stay away from a player like George Pickens who is going to cost a lot more in a trade and creates uncertainty with his behavior in the locker room. Similarly, the Titans should not target Kyle Pitts as his skillset is overvalued and he does not fit into Brian Daboll's offensive scheme. Finally, the Titans should be keeping an eye on someone like Alec Pierce and Kenneth Walker as both would be great additions in free agency if they are not tagged.

The Tennessee Titans hired Robert Saleh weeks ago, but we finally got official word on his full coaching staff. There are some fantastic moves all over like hiring Brian Daboll, Aaron Whitecotton and retaining Bones Fassel and Luke Stocker. However, there were two eyebrow raisers that have nepotism written all over them as Saleh hired his own cousin and general manager Mike Borgonzi's younger brother. These moves are pretty common around the NFL, but there is no doubt there will be scrutiny if it doesn't work. Of course, winning solves all issues and the Titans must win to not cause a stir. Overall, this is still an excellent staff with a lot of experience and is a big departure from the Brian Callahan experience.

The Tennessee Titans impending rebrand, logo change and uniform update took a controversial turn over the weekend as a presumed leak on a website may have revealed what the new logo is. While some will continue to debate the credibility of the change, it seems clear that the leaked logo will be at least close to what the Titans truly reveal in the near future. Some do not like the change, and that is fine, but Tyler loves the new look and thinks most will come around after seeing it on uniforms and jerseys and merchandise. This is a clear upgrade for the Titans and the fan base and the switch to the Oilers color scheme is another massive victory. However, there is one change from the leaked logo Tyler would make and it has to do with the points of the image. A crazy weekend summarized in today's Locked On Titans!

The Tennessee Titans have officially finalized their coaching staff for the 2026 season under new head coach Robert Saleh. We debate where this experienced group - led by coordinators Brian Daboll and Gus Bradley - ranks among the NFL's best. Plus, we discuss the imperative contract extension for All-Pro left guard Peter Skoronski and why securing his future is the top priority for this offseason.

The Tennessee Titans need to go out and add a lot of talent in this offseason using both free agency and the draft, but Cam Ward improving his game and fitness level will also be a key to that kind of jump. If Ward doesn't improve as he should, none of the other moves will be enough to take the Titans out of the abyss. That isn't just on Ward though as the offensive line has to play more like they did at the end of the season from the start of 2026. That puts a spotlight on the two offensive tackle, Dan Moore and JC Latham, but the other side of the line of scrimmage, the defensive line, needs to become a dominate force under Robert Saleh as well. Finally, the Titans secondary simply can't be full remodeled this offseason with too many holes to fill, but Kevin Winston, Amani Hooker and Marcus Harris could speed things up significantly if they play their best football.

The Tennessee Titans need to make big moves in free agency, but what they should not do is re-sign Chig Okonkwo, bring in a linebacker that does the same things as Cedric Gray and avoid signing a cornerback, which is their biggest position of need. If they do that, it would be a terrible free agent haul no matter what signings they do make even if guys like Wan'Dale Robinson, Kwity Paye and Nick Cross do make sense. Tyler goes over a mock free agency from Fox Sports that would be a disaster.

The Tennessee Titans will spend in free agency to improve the roster, but the reality is most of the long-term pieces need to come in the NFL Draft and that starts with Rueben Bain in round one. Bain is a perfect fit as a physical edge in Robert's Saleh's defense and also represents the safest possible pick. On Day 2, the Titans need to add some playmakers on offense and defense, and they can do that with a pair of guys from the SEC in cornerback Brandon Cisse and wide receiver Zachariah Branch. On Day 3, the Titans can add valuable depth and development options at key positions like running back, offensive tackle and safety!

The Tennessee Titans have a desperate need at wide receiver, but that doesn't mean they should trade for George Pickens. Pickens is a talented player but the combination of his new contract, the picks needed to make a deal and his personality issues make this a no-go for a young Titans culture. However, a player like Trey Hendrickson makes a ton of sense as a leader who has been a part of a rebuild and a guy who fits the system as well as he fits the locker room. The Titans need help at other spots as well including cornerback, defensive line and offensive line and there will be ample options at all spots to ensure the gaps can be filled. One thing to consider though is not every player can be a superstar and finding value in free agency is an absolute must.
