The Minnesota Timberwolves still have one open roster spot. What should their focus be at the end of their bench? Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) makes the case for the type of player the Wolves should find for that slot, including considering the latest Exhibit 10 contract signees for the Wolves in Vit Krejci and Daishen Nix. Plus, the Wolves have reported interest in several veteran free agents, including former Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne.

The Minnesota Timberwolves need to ensure that Karl-Anthony Towns gets the opportunity to use more possessions within the flow of the offense this season. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) describes how the Wolves' offense should function with various combinations -- largely dependent on whether Rudy Gobert is on the floor or on the bench. What elements could the Wolves pull from Gobert's Utah Jazz teams of the past? Plus, the Wolves signed Vit Krejci to a training camp deal. The Minnesota Timberwolves went from a top-10 offensive unit in 2021-22 to a bottom-10 unit in 2022-23. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down what changed, with a bit of help from Chris Finch's interview with J.J. Redick last week. From offensive rebounding to getting the right shots from the right players (more Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns!), there is quite a bit of fixable parts to the Wolves' offense that should improve this season.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards threatened the all-time Team USA scoring record by putting up 35 points in a loss to Lithuania. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down the performance, including what went wrong for Team USA as the Americans prepare for their semifinal matchup against Italy on Tuesday. Only three other USA players managed to score in double figures, and rebounding and paint defense continue to be major issues for head coach Steve Kerr's crew -- and the United States can't afford another loss.
