This is the second installment of Cyrus and Keaton's conversations from their adventures in Jacksonville, Florida. In this episode, the guys discuss why old ladies won't buy furniture from Keaton, why iPad gaming might be cooler than you think, and that time Keaton's neighbor got shot in the leg. On the fitness side of the house, the guys attempt to tackle the incredibly problematic idea of misunderstanding correlation versus causation, and how this leaks into areas outside of fitness. This one is short and sweet, and it lays the groundwork for some fun episodes to come! Thanks for listening!
This episode of Long-Winded is the first of two episodes recorded during Cyrus' brief trip down to Florida to visit Keaton. We play a celebrity crush guessing game, contemplate how Instagram models get in touch with athletes, and discuss a bit of health and fitness as well. The health and fitness conversation is focused on staying healthy during this longer-than-expected quarantine, primarily in regards to nutrition and eating habits. Thanks for tuning in!
This is a long one, but it's worth it! In this episode of Long-Winded, we sit down with our guest Ian Lowther, a licensed acupuncturist who also happens to be Cyrus' childhood best friend. We discuss what acupuncture is and how it is best utilized, as well as some of the stigma and taboo surrounding it. We also give our best shot at reconciling the unfortunate conflation of holistic, alternative, eastern, and homeopathic treatments in medicine, and how one can go about navigating these various treatment options. As always, we go off-topic plenty, as we try to keep our conversations as casual and organic as possible, but the discussion around acupuncture begins at about the 24 minute mark. Thanks for tuning in!
