This episode I talk about four number 1 titles (ok, one is a number 0, but still) that I read recently: Hoax Hunters, Saga, Supercrooks, & Superbia. Then, I talk to a very special guest about our 2012 Emerald City Comicon experience.

Using Chris Roberson's public exit from DC as a springboard, we discuss the ethics of corporate contracts and what's fair to the creators (note: we are not lawyers). Then, at about the 59:30 mark, we discuss the four new Vertigo titles (Fairest, Saucer Country, Voodoo Child, & New Deadwardians).

March 30 - April 1, 2012, I will be in Seattle attending the 10th annual Emerald City Comicon. This episode we (Travis, a special guest, and I) discuss the con, why we're so excited about it, and what we're looking forward to.

This episode we discuss DC's New 52 comics, six months into the grand experiment/relaunch. Before we get to that, however, we discuss some news coming out of WonderCon. Then, in Part 1 of our discussion (at about the 23:45 mark), we talk about the following New 52 families of DC comics:
Finally, in the episode, I mentioned a fellow comic blogger's website, calling it Leonard Snart's Gun, when actually it is named The Comics Rogue. Check it out.

The LBR podcast is back for the new year, but this episode we are taking a look at 2011 by discussing what we see are the Best of comics and related items in 11 categories. What did we choose, for example, for Best Artist, Cover, and Ongoing? Have a listen and discover for yourself!
If you’d like (and I’d love it if you did), let me know what you would have chosen for those categories and I’d be glad to read them on the “air”. Disagree with our picks? Let me know (I’ll read those, too)!

I wanted to take a break from discussing DC titles (though, that's mostly what I collect, so why fight it? :)) so this episode I discuss with Travis the Image Comics series Halcyon (warning: we will discuss plot points and reveals). You'd think this would be a quick episode, but somehow Travis and I manage to talk for almost two hours about five issues! How did we ever get through 13 DC Comics issues in under three hours?!
I mentioned towards the beginning of the episode an interview with the writer of the series at Bleeding Cool (which I did not discuss at the end of the episode as I said I would--sorry, I forgot!). For those that are interested, here is the link: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/11/24/tough-minded-questions-with-marc-guggenheim-halcyon-action-comics-and-more/.
