He also shared an interesting story of how he attempted growth hack Sleekr early on, resulting in closing overseas companies as customers. Sleekr then grew bigger to the point they can m&a with Talenta and Jurnal to be Mekari, becoming a Saas company doing Hr, payroll, tax, and accounting, which he told stories about the process and how the team merged the culture. with Ken (@kenratriiswari), CEO and Founder of Geekhunter, Indonesia's first recruitment agency for devs. Ken shared about her childhood and early life, doing all sorts of side hustles, building her first online business with her friends before finally got exposed in tech with Contenga. In Contenga she learned about headhunting and sourcing for candidates as Human Capital Manager while being mentored by the CEO. She shared how her passion for recruitment grew and decided to take a leap to start her own recruitment company, Geekhunter. She was also teaching at ITB in the early days of Geekhunter before doing it full-time and finding the Co-founder, Yunita Anggraeni. He then shared how his idea of IoT automated feeding hardware got validated, meeting Chrisna by chance, who later became the co-founder. He also shared how eFishery, as a startup working in a niche problem and industry, had a difficulty in raising funds from VCs. Only with luck and persistence he raised his first round from Aqua Spark and Ideosource. He showed another resilience in go-to-market strategy by educating the fish pond farmers about the products and showing how to use smartphones. She shared how her experience doing research for new product in Djarum led her and her co-founder, Timothy, to start Populix. She also talked about her experience as first time founder in tech-related business with no technical background and experience. How she and Timothy struggled to communicate to developers and developing the product until Jonathan, the CTO is joining the founding members. She also explained how they solved the chicken and egg problem with Populix, whether to gather the Business or Respondents first. She then continue to talk about how Populix can help other businesses to gather data for research efficiently and cheaper than traditional research methods. Eileen also talked about why she joined two accelerator programs, GNB Accelerator and Gojek Xcelerate and what did she get from those programs.
