It's the last episode of the year so of course we had to reflect on all the books we read this year! We give your our top five best podcast books as well as our bottom five!

We also do a few superlatives for the books and book characters we read this year!

Happy Holidays! Our holiday pick this year came from a series of unhinged TikTok's aimed at Val and sold her on this cute little Christmas themed book. We chat more about what we've been reading lately as well as Cat's beef with Casey McQuiston which might have a little something to do with Taylor Swift.

We dive into the world of The Pairing by Casey McQuiston this week, our second book from 2024! This is the fourth book of theirs we've reviewed on the podcast! Find out how we felt about this one!

It’s books that came out this year month! (No we didn’t change the theme literally at the last minute how dare you). We promised the rest of the year would be queer so that’s what we’ve delivered! Apart from reviewing ‘You Should Be So Lucky’ by our queen, Cat Sebastian, we also dive into the other queer books we’ve been reading the past few weeks!

For the final episode of October we are reading and reviewing Death in the Spires by KJ Charles and queer mystery! Which we all know is up Cat and Val's alley! And thankfully fits perfectly in out October theme "books with Death in the title!"

We are reading books with Death in the title (or any variants of the word) To start us off Val has picked Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates a murder mystery book! On the subject of mystery the gals also chat about the Netflix adaptation of A Good Girls Guide To Murder (the book being a podcast favourite!)

And the last one is "Forced Proximity" and Cat has chose Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales about two girls who enter a reality TV show to win back their ex-boyfriend but end up falling for each other! Nothing more forced proximity than being stuck on a reality show together!
