El pasado 22 de julio de 2024 murió en su domicilio de Detroit Abdul “Duke” Fakir, con 88 años, el vocalista que fundó los Four Tops con su amigo Levi Stubbs en 1953, la mejor banda masculina de aquellos años en la prehistoria del soul. El Doctor Soul arranca la nueva temporada de Los Ultrasónicos celebrando la música maravillosa de los Four Tops. Y rendimos también tributo a Maurice Williams, fallecido el 5 de agosto, el autor e intérprete, al frente de Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs, del clásico “Stay”.
