The Down the Hatch rules explicitly state we're not supposed to have chocolate after dinner, but since when did LOST ever follow the rules?

In Season 5, Episode 5, "This Place is Death," Josh Wigler (@roundhoward) and Mike Bloom (@AMikeBloomType) are not supposed to have chocolate before dinner, but they're eating it anyway as they follow John Locke's lead to the Orchid Station. Also, they quote Grandpa Simpson a bunch.
