Lost Light

AEW Dynamite on TBS. Hangman/Danielson match continues to set us up for a great story line. MJF/Punk continues as a lot of fun. The TBS Championship Tournament concludes. The Lucha/Jurassic Tag Team match goes places we didn’t think it could go.

In the first really real sequel to The Fast and the Furious, can Dom and Brian find common bonds to help them take down the deadliest drug smuggler on the Mexican border? Jim can’t remember Letty’s name so he calls her Lotty.

Caleb catches Jim up on the previous weeks events and we chat about the New Years Smash. We get a ton of promos and a ton of large team matches to supply drama for the first night on TBS.

Winter is Coming. Spoilers: they called the night Winter is Coming and they never used the Sting snow entrance. Great lengthy match between Page and Danielson. The TBS women’s tournament is on hold?

Caleb and Jim talk about the 3rd film in the Fast & Furious franchise. What happens when a lovable loser crashes a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo through a residential construction site causing untold damage to private property? He gets sent off to Japan to live with his dad and hang out with Lil’ Bow Wow, famous for his 2000 track Bow Wow (That’s My Name), while learning to drift race faster than Rey learned to be a Jedi.

This episode spent a little longer in the editing bay that we would have liked because Jim was producing the Mom Always Liked Me Best podcast life from the road.

Strong start with Brian Danielson and Alan Angels concluding in a bonkers Cody Rhodes and Andrade El Idolo match we had to see to believe.

Can we apologize enough for the break between episodes? Do you actually care? As an olive branch we offer up to you the first Fast and the Furious movie that Vin Diesel refused be involved with. Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson laughed all the way to the bank.

AEW in Chicago and show created for CM Punk fans who just want to see him punks around. Team Taz News! Chicago Hates Cody!

National Cowboy Shit Day. Here we are experimenting with a different format. Just a quick hit, no frills, minimal editing to talk about Wednesday Night Dynamite.

I make it a point not to apologize for things I put out into the world but this episode didn’t go great. There is nothing memorable on the soundtrack so the intro/outro is garbage. Neil was having trouble with his recording gear. Very little of the plot of this film is memorable. BUT we had a great time hanging out and talking about the final film of the LaBeouf/Transformers Universe.

John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Ken Jeong, Leonard Nimoy, and Buzz Aldrin. Is this a fever dream? A totally bonkers cast of folks are smashed into 2 and a half hours of Bay Explosion Chaos.

Sam Witwicky is trying to find a job after meeting Obama and getting an Ivy League education. The Decepticons are trying to find a way to revive Cybertron since they won the battle but the planet was destroyed. The Autobots are trying to find a way to get the US Government to trust them. The US Government is trying to find a way to control the Autobots. Nothing is going to go the way anybody thinks it will.
