  • 32 | After Losing a Child: Where Is God, and Where Do Our Children Go After They Die?

Joy Does Return, my book, is finally available on Amazon! Get your copy here!

To celebrate the launch of my book Joy Does Return, I’m sharing something deeply personal — I’m reading a chapter out loud. A chapter I wrestled with. A chapter that holds some of the hardest questions I’ve ever asked about God, grief, and what happens after our children die.

In this episode, I reflect on faith that was shaken, hope that felt impossible, and the questions grieving parents are often afraid to say out loud — about Heaven, about anger, about joy returning after devastating loss. This is not a theological debate or a tidy answer-filled conversation. It’s an honest one.

If you’ve ever struggled with what people say after child loss…If you’ve ever wondered where your child is now…If you’ve ever felt afraid that your questions might push God away…This episode is for you.

I hope this episode feels like sitting with a friend who isn’t afraid of your grief, your doubts, or your hope — even if it’s barely there.

  • 31 | Losing a Child and Wondering If God Is Still Good: What Helped Me When He Felt Silent

If you’re a mother who is grieving the loss of a child and quietly wondering whether God is still good, this episode is for you.

In this honest conversation, Becky Hunt—a child loss mom, author of Joy Does Return, and grief advocate—talks openly about what it feels like when God goes silent after losing a child. Not the polished answers. Not the verses people throw at you. But the real questions grieving mothers ask in the middle of the night when the pain feels unbearable.

    This episode explores:

    • What faith after child loss actually looks like when belief feels fragile

    • Why “God is close to the brokenhearted” doesn’t always feel comforting

    • How grief can numb your ability to feel God—and why that doesn’t mean He’s gone

    • Tangible ways to connect with God when you miss your child and feel spiritually stuck

    • How Becky’s own healing journey after losing her daughter shaped the book Joy Does Return

This is not an episode about moving on, fixing your grief, or pretending everything happens for a reason. It’s a conversation for grieving mothers who want to trust God again but don’t know how, and for anyone navigating Christian grief after losing a child.

If you’re struggling with child loss, questioning your faith, or longing to feel God’s presence again without being rushed or shamed—press play. You are not alone, and your grief is welcome here.

  • 30 | After the Holidays- Why the Grief Hits Harder in January

If you survived the holidays but feel like you’re falling apart now… you’re not alone — and you’re not doing grief wrong.

January can feel heavier than December for grieving moms. The noise fades, support disappears, and grief finally has room to surface. In this episode, I’m talking honestly about why the emotional crash after the holidays is so common after child loss — and why it doesn’t mean you’re going backward.

In this episode, we talk about:
    • Why January grief often feels worse than December
    • The emotional crash that comes after survival mode ends
    • Why support fades after the holidays — and how that impacts grief
    • Why January grief is not regression, but processing
    • A gentle faith reframe for this quiet, heavy season
    • What actually helps in January (without toxic positivity)

I’m also sharing an important update:

  • 27 | How Writing My Book Became My Path to Healing After Losing My Child

When I sat down to write my book "Joy Does Return", I didn’t know it would change everything.
Writing became the place where I met God again.
Where grief poured out and grace poured in.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing how writing my book became my path to healing. This isn’t about moving on it’s about moving with your child’s memory, your faith, and the God who’s still writing your story, too.

If you’ve ever wondered where to begin healing after child loss, or how to use your story to connect with God again, this episode will meet you right where you are.

  • 26 | Part 2: When You Doubt God After Losing Your Child

I’m sharing the honest truth about my own doubts after Gracie died and what helped me find my way back to believing that God is still good. Together, we’ll talk about what Scripture really says about questioning God, how He meets us in the pain, and why your doubt doesn’t disqualify your faith.

  • 25 | Part 1: When Grief Shakes Your Faith - How to Believe Again After Child Loss

A listener recently wrote to me and said,
“I wish I could say that each loss made my faith stronger, but this one has left me with doubts I’ve never faced before. What helps you believe?”

This episode is the first part of my answer to that question. Part 2 is coming.

Because after my daughter Gracie died, I didn’t come out with unshakable faith. I came out angry, heartbroken, and asking, “Where were You, God?”
But over time, I started to see that faith isn’t about certainty—it’s about holding on when you don’t understand.

If you’re struggling to believe God is still good, or even still there, this conversation is for you. You’re not alone, and you’re not failing at faith.

  • 24 | You Are Still a Mother: Grief and the Unshakable Role of Mom

If your baby isn’t here, are you still a mom? I’ve wrestled with that question more times than I can count. The answer is yes—always yes. But living that truth out loud in a world that doesn’t understand grief can feel complicated and lonely.

In this episode, I’m sharing what it’s looked like for me to reclaim my motherhood after loss and find peace in the truth that my role as “Mom” didn’t end when my daughter died. Together, we’ll talk about:

✨ Creating a realistic rhythm for your days when everything feels impossible
✨ Shifting the focus back to yourself (and why that’s not selfish)
✨ How God still calls you a “Mom” even when the world forgets to

Your motherhood is forever. It’s holy. And it’s seen by the One who gave it to you.

  • 23 | What If I Never Go Back to Who I Was before my child died?

After losing my daughter, one of the questions I couldn’t stop asking myself was: “What if I never go back to the person I was before?”

Maybe you’ve thought that too. I used to think if I just worked harder, smiled bigger, or hustled more, I could somehow claw my way back to “before.” But here’s the truth: we don’t go back. We go forward. And forward can actually be good—because forward is where God is.

In this episode, I’m sharing the messy, honest truth about chasing your “old life” and why God isn’t calling you back—He’s calling you forward. I’ll walk you through some practical things that helped me, like journaling with God, letting go of the “before me,” and trying small new things that remind me I’m still being made new.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in the ache of missing who you were, I hope this conversation helps you take a deep breath and remember: your identity isn’t in your grief, it’s in Christ. And the new life He’s creating in you is worth stepping into.
