On today's show, with Duck season opening up across the state, we take a look at the numbers for all the birds with some rough precursors for what could be a serious issue in Louisiana's Duck season. We also field reports from Glen Sanchez on gnat deterrents, an early Bad Boys story of a few guys that took a Possum and treated it like a ball. We also hear from Daryl Carpenter on what Rafael is doing to Grand Isles' waters. Later on, we hear from Mike Gallo on staying on the move today, Eric Muhoberac recaps last weeks BCKFC Championship, Mike Smith chimes in from the Duck blinds to give us all the action in the moment, Ryan Lambert previews what could be a good Duck season after rough previews, and Emmi Vallot, joins us to discuss her future as a possible, actress, singer, hunter, angler, you name it, she can do it!

Don is joined by actress, singer, hunter, fishermen, and all around jack-of-all-trades, Emmi Vallot, to discuss the song she made about wanting to go out deer hunting, her future as a singer and actress in her local theater, how she came to be such an artistic focused kid, other works of hers, and what is next for the young superstar?

Don gets together with Ryan Lambert of Cajun Fishing Adventures in Buras to go over how the Duck season opening weekend has been near him with shots ringing out like crazy around his place, with some spots getting lots of birds and others having none so what spots are hot and what spots are not, the Green Wings are showing up a little early as well but the fishing is still going strong with the higher water levels due to Hurricane Rafael in the Gulf but which is producing more, the East or West side of the river?

Mike Smith, from LA Marsh Guide Service, joins us from one of the flyover hot spots over in Delacroix but the overall count across the state was down and hard, if the high water levels could play a part in that as well as the lack of a cold weather, and if you are looking to join in with Mike, how can you get in touch with him.

Don calls up Eric Muhoberac from the Louisiana Kayak Company to recap the BCKFC Championship last weekend, the top dog who came out with a W, Empire's got some good spots for any paddlers out there this weekend, a gentle reminder to always wear your PFDs and what you should know about staying safe during Duck season.

Don is joined by Mr. Born-on-the-Bayou, Mike Gallo, from AAofLA.com, on what areas would be best on a weekend like this one with the higher water around the coast and lakes and windy weather across Southern Louisiana, the best ways to combat the high water and winds, and one of the best shared guests that Mike and Don have fished with.

This week, Don goes over the latest from the opening of the duck season across Louisiana in varies areas with pre-opening numbers looking not that good before calling up Glen Sanchez to go over the St. Bernard area to see what there is to be made of this weather brought about by Rafael out in the Gulf and how the best way to deal with gnats might be the most obvious. Don also tells the tale of this week's Bad Boys that may end be being one of the oddest one we've ever had, and we hear from our Grand Isle expert, Daryl Carpenter, on what the area is facing this weekend with Hurricane Rafael making waves in the Gulf.
