It’s the energetic center that links your survival instincts to your spiritual life, and it shapes how you let love in, how you offer it back, and what you believe you deserve. I’m Elissa Creamer a Holy Fire Karuna Reiki master, and I’m walking you through the fourth chakra with equal parts story, grounded tools, and a gentle invitation to come home to yourself. 

I share the first time I ever received Reiki on my heart chakra during a Reiki circle while I was healing a breakup and old grief connected to my mom’s death. I describe what it felt like as sadness moved, my chest softened, and my heart began to expand and how a passing train outside became a powerful moment of confirmation and comfort. If you’ve been carrying repressed heartache, struggling with self love, or feeling disconnected from who you are, this conversation puts compassionate language to what you may already sense in your body.

Your body has been carrying a lot, and you deserve a kind place to set it down. We’re recording from the Great Lakes with Lake Erie close by, and we use that watery, spacious energy to guide a restorative Reiki meditation that’s meant for stillness, not multitasking. If you’ve been following our wellness podcast and the seven chakras series, you’ll hear a quick touchpoint on where we’ve been and what’s coming next, then we move straight into a calming practice you can revisit anytime. 

We start with simple, supportive setup guidance so you can truly receive: get comfy, grab a blanket or pillow, and choose a position that lets your nervous system soften. From there, we use slow breathing (in through the nose, out through the mouth) to help you drop out of your head and back into your body. You’ll also be invited into body gratitude, a gentle way to reconnect with yourself and shift from pushing through to caring for yourself.

Today I’m focusing on the sacral chakra (the second chakra), an energy center in the pelvis that’s tied to joy, intimacy, feelings, and the ability to let life move through you instead of getting stuck. If you’ve felt numb, tense, creatively blocked, or strangely disconnected from what you want, this conversation gives you a grounded way to understand what might be happening and where to start. 

I share the core sacral chakra themes, how it can look when this chakra is out of harmony, and what it feels like when it’s in flow. We keep it practical with simple sacral chakra healing supports you can try right away: grounding through the root chakra first, wearing orange, eating orange foods like sweet potatoes and pumpkin, working with crystals such as carnelian and moonstone, and using essential oils like ylang-ylang, orange, sandalwood, and rosewood. A breakup can be painful on its own, but sometimes it also unlocks something older, deeper, and stored in the body. We sit down with Elissa Creamer, founder of Love Beam Wellness, as she shares the real story behind Love Always: how an unexpected separation in 2015 brought back the same physical feeling she carried after her mother’s sudden death when Elissa was 15, and why that moment pushed her to finally face grief instead of outrunning it.
