Everyone feels stuck at different times in their lives. Life can feel like you're walking through a maze only to find one dead end after another. These moments can leave us feeling insecure, discouraged, and limited. Confidence comes from certainty. It comes from knowing you're going to be alright and not stuck. Join me as I teach you how to keep moving forward and how to take that next step even when it feels like there isn't a next step to take.
There is a tendency to want to blame the circumstances for how we feel.
"I'm offended because of what that person said to me"
"I'm angry because that person is judging me"
"I'm worried because there's a pandemic"
"I'm frustrated because I'm stuck in my house"
We think it's the "circumstances" fault and when we think this we're stuck and our confidence takes a huge dive. The truth iss that there are circumstances but those circumstances are neutral. They aren't good or bad until you interpret them as good or bad. This is empowering! This is a skill you can practice and master, seeing the circumstances AS NEUTRAL. Then you have power over how you want to see them! The more you do this, the more confident you'll feel!
Moral Superiority show up in our thoughts. It's a slight judgment that could look something like, "Well at least I'm not as bad as THAT guy". (cue raised eyebrows and an audible hmph). As human beings we are wired for connection. This is difficult when while social distancing. But what is guaranteed to make it even harder is adding moral superiority to the mix. Join my today as I talk about the consequences of feeling morally superior and how it's more damaging to your confidence than you realize.
