About "Love in the Great Smoky Mountains"




This is the third movie in the “A National Park Romance” series from Hallmark Channel.



It was filmed in the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, as well as Fall Creek Falls State Park and Knoxville, TN.



According to the National Park Conservation Association website, the southeastern United States was formerly inhabited by the Cherokee Nation. Their hunting grounds included the mountains and valleys that are now encompassed by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.



Arielle Kebbel plays Haley James. She has 77 prior acting credits, including Hallmark movies "A Bride for Christmas" and "A Brush with Love." She's was also Lindsay (Dean's wife) on Gilmore Girls for 9 episodes, the feature film "John Tucker Must Die" and 3 episodes of "UnREAL."



Zach Roerig plays Rob. This appears to be his first Hallmark movie. Other acting credits include his 171 episode run as Matt Donovan on "The Vampire Diaries," 281 episodes on daytime soap "As the World Turns" and 6 episodes as Cash on "Friday Night Lights."



This was written by Bruce D. Johnson who has 10 writing credits including Hallmark's "Journey of My Heart" and "Love on the Slopes. 



Danny J. Boyle served as director. He has 43 previous directing credits including "Nightmare School Moms" and "The Man with My Husband's Face" both from this year.



Supporting cast including Danielle Vega as Sky and Kai Braden as Troy Winters.

About “Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas”

Originally aired on November 23, 2014
Kevin Fair directed. Kevin currently has 44 directing credits, including recents like “Legend of the Lost Locket,” “A Season for Family,” “Checkin’ It Twice” and “3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost.” As for SSD, Kevin directed episodes 3 and 4 from the one-season series. After “Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas,” he will go on to direct all but 2 of the movies.
The story for SSD for Christmas was written by Brandi Harkonen, Kerry Lenhart, and John J. Samar. The teleplay by Martha Williamson.
Rob Estes plays Jordan. Rob has 70 acting credits with 2 upcoming projects according to IMDB. He’s probably best known for his role as Kyle McBride on Melrose Place between 1993-1999 but my first exposure to Rob Estes was in the USA crime-drama “Silk Stockings.” Since the 90s, he’s gone on to appear in shows like “Suddenly Susan,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “90210.” Browsing through his IMDB, I see he returns to Signed, Sealed, Delivered in a future movie and I’m not sure I’m ready.
Marion Ross plays Oliver’s former Sunday school teacher Mrs. Genzinger in this movie. She has a staggering 197 acting credits and will always and forever be known as Mrs. Cunningham from her 255 episodes of “Happy Days.” She’s been in just about everything, including the previously mentioned “Gilmore Girls” as Lorelei’s gran Trix. She’s also starred in 2 other projects for Martha Williamson: “Promised Land” and “Touched By an Angel.” At 95, Marion is still working! She voiced Grandma Squarepants in “Sponge Bob Square Pants” earlier this year.
Marci T. House plays the nurse Odette. Marci has appeared in several Hallmark projects, including “Making Waves,” “A Winning Team,” and “Cranberry Christmas” (a movie that we’ll be reviewing this summer in Christmas in July).
Ava Telek plays Hannah (the little girl who’s mom is sick). Ava has worked steadily since this movie. She has been seen in “My Christmas Family Tree” and “Gilded Newport Mysteries: Murder at the Breakers.”

Marilu Henner appears as Glynis Rucker. Marilu has 107 acting credits and is probably best known for her roles as Elaine Nardo in “Taxi.” She’s done an incredible about of work for Hallmark, including 19 Aurora Teagarden movies. This was her one and only appearance in “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.”
Andrea Brooks plays Miss Special Delivery rival Kimmi. This role appears to be her first project for Hallmark. She has gone on to co-star in 80 episodes of “When Calls the Heart” as well as a number of Hallmark movies.
Jessica Kishner Morgan played bride Ellie. Jessica has just a handful of acting projects and this was her only for the network.
Jeremy Raymond plays boyfriend Bobby. Jeremy has 25 acting credits and has appeared in several “Star Trek” projects, “American Gods,” “Psych,” and others.



About “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” Episode 7

Written by: Martha Williamson, Brandi Harkonen, and Dean Batali (who has a deep resume of writing for shows like “That ‘70s Show,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and the “Good Witch.”)
Co-Stars: 

Valerie Bertinelli plays Rebecca Starkwell. Bertinelli is probably best known for her roles on “One Day at a Time,” “Touched By an Angel,” and “Hot in Cleveland.” She’s also did in 14 seasons of “Valerie’s Home Cooking” and co-hosted 12 seasons of the “Kids Baking Championship” – both for the Food Network.
Adam DiMarco played Billy James. He has 46 acting credits, including the last season of HBO’s “White Lotus” where he played Albie.
Nicole Fraissinet played Jennifer. This was her first project for Hallmark but went on to appear in “The Nine Lives of Christmas” and a couple of episodes of the “Good Witch.”
We also have a small appearance by Chris Gauthier who played Serge. Chris has appeared in many Hallmark movies, including hits like “Three Wise Men and a Baby” and “The Christmas House.” We’ll always remember Chris as Todd on “Date My Dad.” Sadly, Chris passed earlier this year from an unspecified short illness.



About “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” Episode 8

Episode 8 is called “Dark of Night”

Valerie Bertinelli returns as Rebecca Starkwell.
Kimberley Sustad plays Melissa. This wasn’t Kimberley’s first project for Hallmark as she has appeared in “A Bride for Christmas” in 2012 but since “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” in 2014, Sustad has gone on to star in so many incredible Hallmark movies.
Lane Edwards played Melissa’s husband Michael. He has been in many Lifetime, Hallmark, and Netflix projects. You might recognize him as Sheriff Duncan on “Virgin River.”
Stephanie Bennett plays adult daughter Abby. She’s been in several projects for Hallmark including “The Nine Kittens of Christmas” with Kimberley Sustad.
Aaron Pearl plays bad guy and bio dad Carl. He’s has 133 acting credits, including Hallmark movies like five of the “Wedding March” movies, “Murder She Baked” and “The Irresistible Blueberry Farm.”



About “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” Episode 9

Episode 9 is titled “The Treasure Box”

Zak Santiago plays dance instructor Ramon. Zak has a staggering 163 acting credits including most recently “Legend of the Lost Locket,” “Christmas at the Golden Dragon” “Marry Go Round” and it looks like we will see him continue his role as Ramon on future SSD movies.

Carol Burnett as Norman’s grandmother Ardis Paine. Burnett starred in 11 seasons and 279 episodes of “The Carol Burnett Show,” “Mama’s Family,” she played Miss Hannigan in the 1982 film “Annie” and at age 91 she is currently co-starring in “Palm Royale” as Norma. 
Adam Korson plays twins Joshua and Matt. Adam has gone on to work a lot since his appearance in SSD. Fun fact: he played Darren Star in “The Unauthorized Beverly Hills 90210” and  “The Unauthorized Melrose Place.”
Viv Leacock appears as Jim Thomas. Viv is best known for his role as Joseph Canfield on “When Calls the Heart.” We last saw him in “Legend of the Lost Locket” earlier this year.

Della Reese as Cora Brandt. These two episodes of Signed, Sealed, Delivered were her very last projects. Della Reese passed in 2017 at the age of 86.
Emilie Ullerup plays adult Marie. Emilie went on to play Bree O’Brien in 55 episodes of “Chesapeake Shores” as well as other Hallmark movies like “Don’t Forget I Love You” and “Retreat to You.”
Greyston Holt plays adult Sam. He also appeared in 12 episodes of “Chesapeake Shores” as Jay Ross.

About “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” (Pilot)

The very first movie in the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise was a backdoor pilot and is often considered episode #0 from Season 1. Its title is “Second Chances.”
This movie premiered on October 12, 2013.
Scott Smith directed the movie. He currently has 37 directing credits including a few Hallmark favorites like “Frozen in Love” and “Autumn in the Vineyard.“
Martha Williamson and Brandi Harkonen wrote the script.

Martha Williamson is a 35-year veteran of the entertainment industry. She is known for being the writer and producer on “Touched by an Angel” as well as “Promised Land.” Williamson has also written for the TV series “The Facts of Life,” and “Living Dolls.” 
Brandi Harkonen has 14 writing and co-producing credits including every episode and movie from the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” franchise. 



Who Was in the “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” Pilot?

Eric Mabius plays Oliver O’Toole. Eric currently has 72 acting credits, having appeared in Hallmark hits like “Haul Out the Holly” and “Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up.” Mabius has worked steadily since 1995 having appeared in television shows like “Party of Five,” “Chicago Fire,” “The L Word,” and “The O.C.”
Kristin Booth plays Shane McInerney. Kristin recently appeared in “Shifting Gears” (directed by co-star Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe). Her 100 acting credits also include “Workin’ Moms,” “Hudson & Rex,” and “Escaping the NXIVM Cult: A Mother’s Fight to Save Her Daughter.”
Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe plays Rita Haywith. Commonly credited as Crystal Lowe, she has 95 acting credits including “Christmas at Dollywood” and “Flip That Romance.” She was the first female director selected in Hallmark’s ‘Make Her Mark’ initiative. 
Geoff Gustafson play Norman Dorman. Geoff has 94 acting credits and has appeared in “Dream Moms” and “Three Wise Men and a Baby” amongst many others. 
Daphne Zuniga plays Andrea Shmeckle. Zuniga is probably best known for her role as Jo Reynolds from “Melrose Place.” 
Laci J. Mailey  plays Kelly. We recently saw Laci in “Betty’s Bad Luck in Love” but she’s probably best known as Jess O’Brien from the long running Hallmark series “Chesapeake Shores.”
Benjamin Hollingsworth plays Charlie. Ben is known for his role as Dan Brady on “Virgin River” as well as Liam in “The Santa Summit.“

News and Notes About “Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 For Murder”

Chris McNally stars as Detective Beeks. Chris has previously co-starred in 63 episodes as Lucas Bouchard in “When Calls the Heart.” We last saw him in “3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost” alongside partner Julie Gonzalo.
Holland Roden plays tipline operator Maddie Moore. She has just one previous Hallmark credit having co-starred with Tyler Hynes in “Time For Him to Come Home for Christmas” in 2022.

Christine Conradt wrote the screenplay. She has 74 other writing credits, including a few of our Hallmark favorites like “As Luck Would Have It” and “On the 12th Date of Christmas.” She seems to prefer darker fare, having written scripts for movies like “Girlfriend Killer” and “Boyfriend Killer.”
Mother/Daughter directing duo Jessica and Cynde Harmon are responsible for “Tipline Mysteries.”

Jessica Harmon is an accomplished actor but also has 18 directing credits. The vast majority of these credits are for Hallmark and include “Rip in Time,” “Joyeaux Noel,” and “Dream Moms.”
This is Cynde Harmon’s first directing credit. She has served as a producer on 21 projects that include “Pumpkin Pie Wars,” “North to Home,” and “Christmas at the Golden Dragon.

Cardi Wong plays Officer Tran. Cardi has 50 acting credits and has been seen on Hallmark in “A Season for Family” and “The Gift of Peace.” We just reviews one of Cardi’s older movies – “Flip That Romance” which co-stars Chris McNally’s partner, Julie Gonzalo.
Cassandra Sawmill plays Amanda. She has 28 acting credits as well as three upcoming projects. This appears to be her first appearance on Hallmark.
Jill Teed plays the Police Captain. She has 105 acting credits which include “Three Wise Men and a Baby” and two “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” movies.
Riley Davis plays nepo-baby Ethan. We last saw Riley as Mason (Walker’s #2 guy) in “Curious Caterer.”
