Cycle of Abuse refers to a theory of patterns of abuse and how that impacts survivors. It also refers to the Wheel of Power and control. Both are commonly used to educate current victims and survivors of Domestic Violence. I also explain common criticisms with their impact on survivors.

Episode 10 brings part 2 of Justice System Flaws- When Police get it Wrong. This episode is one HUGE storytime share of an intimate story I was reluctant to share.

In the end, what I do is not about me, it's about you and future generations and being one small voice for change. A voice against the silence that enables abusers and a broken system to allow the continuation of violence against women.

An episode so HUGE it had to be split into two parts!! Part one starts with the discovery that many women imprisoned are victims of domestic abuse and I share storytime's from survivors I've met. I then spill a storytime from long ago and how courts have changed how they treat victims. However, I end up sharing a recent storytime that shows there is still a LONG way for the police to go when it comes to protecting women from violence.

Part 2 - Next week is a HUGEEEEE storytime share I've been putting off. It's a VERY vulnerable story I am not keen on sharing, but if we stay silent, nothing changes. It takes bravery from survivors to share the good, the bad and the ugly to help end the silence. This silence enables perpetrators to continue their abuse and a system to never change.
