talking about dad, and his time at LSU... including a lot of other tangents:
a contemplation of middle school peer pressure,
criminal activity observed last year (2024-2025) in college park (define: audacity),
how paid men behave,
and I'll be the first to admit: the conclusion (ending) here is very abrupt, not my best finale tbh
edit: LT was a football coach, the head track coach, and the dean of our high school. One day, one meet— after competing for my event: I walk up the bleachers and he’s angry (fully angry). "Explain to me how you had time to ADJUST YOUR SLEEVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RACE, and you were giving it your all?"
Touche.
That’s a perceptive man. He was also correct, I’ll never forget it. I think it was an open 400 but I was definitely in the final stretch, and I pulled down my right sleeve... just a little more. There is no WAY I was running with my whole heart, or I wouldn’t have even noticed an impulse TO MAKE such an adjustment (really). But other than that, nobody can really tell what you’re up to and why so just focus on making sure YOU like YOU lol
