There are prophetic signs that we are approaching the last days. And the scripture that we're going to be studying together in this lesson has great relevance for you and me, as we approached those last days, one of the things that we need to understand is that God is preparing a people that we are going to be found faithful, as the book of Revelation says that the bride will indeed prepare herself in a way that the groom and of course, we're speaking about the great bride groom, Messiah himself, that he is going to be pleased with his congregation, his bride.

We all know that we are commanded to worship God. And a very significant part of worship is praising God. In fact, one of the best known Hebrew words, Hallelujah means just that to praise the Lord. And within Judaism, for times of holidays and new months, there is a group of psalms that we read to celebrate the special days. And we call this group of Psalms Hello, which is simply the Hebrew word for praise because the psalms are full of praise.

There's a strong connection between humility and spirituality. What does that mean? The more humble you are, the more you will grow spiritually, and the better prepared you will be to serve God. In other words, humility causes us to be used by God, and to become a faithful servant. But realize this, the converse of that statement is also true.

We serve a miraculous God. What does that mean? God still does miracles today. He has done miracles in the past. But he's doing miracles today. And he will continue to do so until he establishes His kingdom. Now my question to you as we begin this study is this. What is a miracle? What does a miracle accomplish?

What was the purpose for the transfiguration, a very important event that bears to the reader much significance, we see that the transfiguration conveys to the reader of the Gospels, the divinity of Messiah. And that is something that we need to always remember why. If you do not believe that you should, I'm speaking about Jesus of Nazareth.

Our God is a faithful God, what does that mean? According to the Word of God, God will respond, he will do the things that he said that he would do. A faithful God is a reliable God, a God that is worthy of one's trust. And therefore we have seen thus far in our study of Psalm 118, that the psalmist that is the author of this Psalm,

When you are in a covenantal relationship with God, through Messiah, you're sure you should have confidence, you should realize that God is absolutely dependable. And when trouble comes and trouble will come, be assured. Our God is a God of deliverance. We use that term salvation so frequently, and it simply means victory.

If you are in a covenant or relationship with God, and let me be more specific, a new covenant or relationship with God, through faith in Messiah, by means of accepting that gospel, then you can have assurance. That is you can be confident that God is going to incline himself to your prayers. And that's exactly what the psalm that we're going to look at today teaches us to get your Bible and look with me to the book of Psalms, and Psalm 116

We know that God is an act of God in this world. He is not a God that created all things and then stepped away. But God's presence is here through messiahs ministry, by means of the Holy Spirit in every believer, and also through the angelic world. God is at work.
