Speaker(s): Dr Bradley Franks, Dr Erica Lagalisse, Dr Matijs Pelkmans | Psychologists and anthropologists explore how only some "conspiracy theories" fail tests of reason, and discuss the problems and potential of "conspiracy theory" for social movements. Erica Lagalisse is author of Occult Features of Anarchism - With Attention to the Conspiracy of Kings and the Conspiracy of the Peoples and Postdoctoral Fellow at the LSE International Inequalities Institute. Bradley Franks is Associate Professor in Psychology in the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science, LSE. Matijs Pelkmans is Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at LSE and a specialist in the anthropology of the Caucasus and Central Asia. Martin Bauer is Director of MSc Social and Public Communication and Professor of Social Psychology in the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science, LSE.
