Antrim's Or Two Strangers imprint returns welcoming Luciano Scheffer to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Ribeirao Pires, the Brazilian artist has been a long time favourite of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. His stunning creations have etched out a meticulous discography, highlighted by releases on Balkan Connection, Clubsonica Records and Just Movement. Now landing on Or Two Strangers, Luciano presents his much anticipated 'Mar' EP.

Beginning with the title cut Luciano explores a deeper side of his studio repertoire. Free and flowing from the outset it’s spacious low end is perfectly contoured, providing momentous swing while exotic drums and airy atmospheres fill in the framework. Stripping down into the main break the narrative expands through iridescent effects and mallet-like clusters. Emotive and thought provoking, it’s a spirited interlude, one of hope and reflection, ultimately leading to a tasteful apex and gorgeous final act. Also included on the release is an Ambient version which embodies the heart and soul of the original, making it a great tool for the more adventurous DJ or simply an elegant piece of music to enjoy.

The release concludes with ‘Brisa’ which follows a similar sonic ethos to its predecessor but with more of a pure progressive sensibility. A warm, redolent groove sits at the foundation, moving with discernible momentum as layers of drums and rolling rhythms converge for a fluid cadence. Heartfelt harmonics and elegant atmospheres flow beautifully into an emotive centrepiece, as organic drums build a subtle tension, while poignant tones and hopeful overlays fully saturate your pleasure centres. An impassioned creation from Luciano, rounding out what would have to be the most inspired release of his career.
