Madeline and Charlotte are back with a very special announcement: The Sports Gossip Show has officially joined The Athletic Podcast Network! The gals couldn’t be more excited. If you’re new here, this show breaks down and adds context to the wildest developments in the messy world of sports — because it’s much more fun to watch athletes on the field if you know what they’re doing off it.

Today’s episode kicks off with an important update about Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Everyone’s favorite WNBA social media stars, the StudBudz, signed a baby. LA Lakers star Luka Dončić signed a contract extension with general manager Rob Pelinka, and then they took the team to see the Backstreet Boys in Las Vegas. The gals may or may not put on a short play about this. 

The USTA announced that a dating show will take place at this year’s US Open called Game, Set, Matchmaker (groan!). WNBA star Dijonai Carrington was traded from the Dallas Wings to the Minnesota Lynx a month after her girlfriend, NaLyssa Smith, was traded from the Wings to the Las Vegas Aces. In more WNBA news, the minority owner of the Celtics bought the Connecticut Sun and wants to move the team to Boston. 

Tom Brady is still very online. Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys are in a messy will-they, won’t-they situation. Premiere League star Son Heung-min is heading to LA in an historic move for the MLS. And a quick compressed flower check-in for Kemba Walker’s wedding!
