In this episode, Kierra discusses the importance of adults modeling healthy behaviors as a behavior management tool. While many think that children tend to grow out of their "copy-cat" phase when they hit their teenage years, that's not necessarily true. Teens are always watching, even if we don't know it! That's why it's so important to be mindful and intentional about your behaviors with youth. Modeling as a behavior management tool can be used to teach specific hands-on skills, promote healthy and desired behaviors, teach life, social, emotional skills, and promote safety for exploration and cultivation of positive sense of self.
