Being single has its absolute high moments. And it can also feel like an endless hell. Especially when you feel so done with it.
Perhaps you get to the point that Shani Silver, humor essayist and podcaster did: ‘I had been dating fruitlessly for a full decade and there came a moment of absolute exhaustion. And it wasn't just exhaustion with dating or exhaustion with searching for someone, it was exhaustion with the frustration around those activities. I was tired of being tired of being single. It was enough.’
So Shani changed her view on being single as something other than a problem to fix at any cost.
She reframed the way she viewed and experienced her own singlehood, to increase her sense of self-worth and live her life at whole new levels of happiness, fulfilment and satisfaction.
In this podcast Shani and I discuss her book, A Single Revolution’, which spoke to my heart as a long-term former single winab. And I am sure will speak to your heart too.
