It's gonna be an exciting time here with Lux Life Discovered.
In August, we're gonna feature some gentlemen from Memphis who are, one is a broadcaster, one is a custom bow tie maker and does some amazing work, so it's gonna be fun to showcase their, their skills. We also have a film director and a songwriter. He is, has so many talents, it's gonna be fun to, to visit with him, to learn more about what all he is doing. And then in October, Or, I'm sorry, September. We have to get September 1st.
September we're gonna focus on some of my contacts in Arkansas. I'm fortunate that within the event planning industry as well as the wedding industry to have so many different talented people that we can showcase. So we will have probably a, a videographer on board that does amazing work and not just.
Locally, but nationally. And then we'll also have a, uh, cake decorator who has been on Home Net or the Food Network and has won so many first place awards because her cakes are like masterpieces. And I'm talking each cake for every wedding that I've done. And I've used her. In fact, she's my preferred vendor for Northeast, Northwest Arkansas.
So it's gonna be fun to talk with her, to get her take. And there's some little secrets that I know about her work that I can't share with you, so I'll let her share those with you. And it's just amazing what we're gonna be able to showcase from Arkansas and connections there.
And then in October, we're going to feature a lot of Nashville connections. And this, you know, when you think of Nashville, you think of country music. All genres of music are evident in Nashville. And once you're there and you get to meet people, it's, it's fun to see what, what you discover. So from a friend of mine who I've known since she was a little girl here in Kentucky, works for one of the largest record labels in Nashville.
So she's gonna be one of our guests and it fun to hear her take on. How she has seen so much of country music change, but also who their artists are. And we're probably gonna have one of their up and coming, recording artists on with us as well. We're gonna tap into some other areas of Nashville that have unique businesses and opportunities that people have capitalized on that you may not have even thought would be, you know, A worthwhile venture, but these people are very successful in making a great living at what they're doing and enjoying and living their passion.
And so then the November will be 38. And goodness, we've got so many to feature in 30a from Rosemary Beach all the way to Pensacola. It is amazing, all the different. Little specialties that people have created and, and come up with to make their brand and to take their brand to the next level. And so it's fun to see the diversity and we'll definitely focus on that.
December, we'll finish out with the surprise. We're not even gonna tell you what that is yet, but it's gonna be another series for the month of December that will focus on, I guess, that are all tied into the same. And so.
Make sure you hit the subscribe button because we enjoy what we're doing. We hope you enjoy it. Leave comments, let us know what you think, and we look forward to seeing you on the next episode of Lux Life Discovered

On our recent episode, we had the pleasure of highlighting the latest addition to the IHG Hotels & Resorts' portfolio – the Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina. Part of their luxury segment, this splendid five-story, 124-room hotel is a proud new presence in Florida's historic waterfront district of Panama City. Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPPKR6pT9GM Samantha Spain is an asset to the property and was a great guest.
Located within walking distance from a wide range of local restaurants, bars, and town fixtures, Hotel Indigo also offers guests easy access to cultural hubs like the Martin Theatre and the Panama City Center for the Arts. It's truly nestled in the heart of a thriving artistic community, making it an exciting focal point of our discussion.
Adding to its charm, the hotel stands as a hidden jewel along St. Andrews Bay, a rich haven for marine life that spans over 20 miles. We also discussed the stark beauty of the saltwater flats, seagrass beds, and deep channels – marking it as one of the most diverse fishing grounds in the Florida Panhandle. We think our listeners who love outdoor activities will find the idea of exploring this place by boat and kayak quite appealing.
A distinguishing factor about the Hotel Indigo brand, which we discussed, is that no two properties are alike. In keeping with this spirit, the Panama City property offers a distinct experience compared to the more familiar Panama City Beach, creating a quieter, yet equally vibrant ambiance.
The hotel's design, heavily inspired by its seaside location and the history of the town, particularly captured our interest. The nautical-themed fixtures and installations, derived from the indigo plants that once populated the shorelines, reflect the locality's unique identity. Moreover, the hotel also pays homage to Panama City’s original residents like Harry Felix, whose artistic influence shaped the local community.
As we touched on the hotel's strategic location near the marina, we noted its two fresh restaurant and bar concepts, Tarpons and Steam on 5, sure to become neighborhood favorites. Offering a Southern twist on coastal cuisine and handcrafted cocktails, these are spots we believe our listeners would enjoy.
We couldn't overlook the range of amenities the hotel provides, such as a fitness center, outdoor pool, and a firepit overlooking the bay, among others. Plus, it's in close proximity to major local attractions including Panama City Beach and educational institutions like Florida State University’s Panama City campus, Gulf Coast State College, and more.
Wrapping up the episode, we shared insightful comments from Carol Hoeller, Vice President of Hotel Indigo, and Jean Capps, General Manager, Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina. Both expressed their enthusiasm about the hotel's potential to reenergize the neighborhood and create a gathering spot for guests and locals to immerse themselves in the community’s vibrant past. Their passion left us eagerly anticipating what Hotel Indigo Panama City Marina has in store.

One of the nation's foremost showcases of blues music — as it's referred to in its online overview — is ready to party.
Like many other events, the festival shut down for two years due to covid.
"Helena-West Helena and surrounding Phillips County will be bustling for the King Biscuit Blues Festival 2023 - Munnie Jordan tells us all about it.
The festival takes place for three full days — Thursday-Saturday in historic downtown Helena on the banks of the Mississippi River — but kicks off with a "Warm Up Wednesday,"
The King Biscuit Blues Festival, founded in 1986, is one of the nation’s foremost showcases of blues music. Tens of thousands of blues enthusiasts converge on historic downtown Helena, Arkansas to hear stirring and uplifting performances of an American art form on the banks of the Mississippi River.
As the home of “King Biscuit Time,” the longest running radio show ever, Helena became legendary in the Delta. First broadcast in 1941, Sonny Boy Williamson II and Robert Lockwood Jr. played live in the studio as the “King Biscuit Entertainers.” Pinetop Perkins and James Peck Curtis later joined the band. The musicians played on KFFA every weekday, pausing for King Biscuit Flour commercials and announcements of their next nighttime performances.

Chase Miller Explains how it all began and how it all works
Tired of working out in a crowded gym? Frustrated having to wait in line for weights? Reserve a home gym all to yourself and workout privately or with a friend.
Remove the barriers that big box gyms have built up over time by creating a private, simple, and convenient gym experience where Gymers (users) feel comfortable exercising
Think of it as AirBnb for a home gym
Here’s some of the criteria:
- the gym has to be separated from the home owners living area
-third car garage with a wall
-basement
-completely separate facility
-etc.
- the gym has to have a separate entrance to access it specifically
- the gym has to have some form of cardio
- the gym has to have some form of strength
