Hey gang! Sometimes adulting isn't the easiest. As much as we what it to have crisp straight edges and make sense, it's not that simple. Each one of us have different circumstances of which is a different "sheet" it's not easy to fold it despite how others have folded their fitted sheets in the past. We have to find what works for us through trial and error. My sheet right now is not loving my folding method but my version of self care is clearing that it's not easy. There are lot of circumstances happening to my fitted sheet right now making it more difficult to fold.
Today I discuss about feedback in the work place, my wedding planning and choices to find a home vs. rent. All about adulting and sharing how it's been super frustrating lately, and I know I'm not alone in that.
If you need a soundboard for what you're currently working on, I'm a DM away. Let me know if you like episodes like this and I will share more.

A friendly reminder that Goals and Expectations are two different journeys. Goals allow us to strive for more and challenge ourselves, whereas expectation falsify our beliefs of "what should be" and possibly resent our current reality. Expectations are always a strength. I share a few different recent stories of how I recognized expectations to get in the way of appreciating my own beautiful reality.
Today is the last taste of the BONUS Meditation episodes. By "subscribing" you will get access to at least two addition episodes a month. Specifically the meditation episodes. "There's a million things to do, and they will get done."
Chelsea Christmas was born and raised in Lancaster, PA. She comes from big family of strong men and women and I am 1 of 5 girls. Her purpose and passion has always been to bring women together through health and wellness. Chelsea has seen first hand through seasons of pain and uncertainty the importance of turning to health and wellness as a way to cope. Realizing caring for herself was not selfish, she holds herself responsible to do just that! Chelsea learned that healing is available in healthy communities, that her body can do hard things, and that her mind can tell a new story, a story that leads to hope. Upon that she got her Personal Training Certification and Created Fit City Women. When she connects with the women of FCW, she see herself in each of them and is reminded that purpose can curate the space for other women to start their work toward being healthy, happy, and whole. Chelsea wants for women to walk into spaces they know they will be accepted in. Her expertise is in empowering and encouraging the sister next to her to be all that she can be. Chelsea believes that when SHE wins, we all WIN!

The word "Grit" is in my opening Statement: Grit is a noun defined as to have the drive and stamina to push through any challenge or obstacle thrown your way until you succeed. But, In order to have that stamina you need to condition, and in conditioning is recovery, rest and self-care. You need that recovery in order to keep driving that path to success!
Quotes from today's Episode:
"Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work." ~Stephen King
"Don’t work for recognition but do work worthy of recognition". ~H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
"Success isn’t always about greatness. It’s about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come." ~Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
"We think, mistakenly, that success is the result of the amount of time we put in at work, instead of the quality of time we put in." ~ Ariana Huffington
This is always one I need to hear. Sometimes slowing down a bit and taking an extra minute or two makes it right instead of just fast. Efficiency is wonderful when it’s married with speed. But in that order. Speed should only be the cherry on the cake, not the driving value. Do you want to hear “Get shit done right” or “Get shit done fast, and it’s almost half right”?
Focusing on growth and development as a manager with my current team. Ways I work with them vs. ways I focus on their development. Growth I’ve seen in myself as a leader or person of authority, type of manager. Me now at 33 vs. me 10 years ago as 23 year old me: I just wanted to make several Stazie soldiers. Douglas made the joke, “That would be a lot of pink”!!!
Now I’ve gained more patience and respect for those who are only just learning. What is best going to serve me is a team of capable humans not a team that I always have to tell them what to do.

2. Organize your tasks in order of priority over a cup of coffee: self care while you plan how you will tackle your day
3. Physically change the scenery when you take a break
4. When you think you have nothing left for the day, do just one more task before beginning that self care unwind. Pick something small
5. When you decide to take an actual full day off once a month, don’t over plan it. Go with the flow and actually take the break.
Remember you get to be alive, we get to do things. When I wish it would all just stop I look at it as though I’d rather have something to do than nothing at all. When we do a lot but don’t complete anything we go to be feeling stressed and anxietal. When we go to bed accomplishing half of our to to do list, we have accomplished something.
A little progress each day adds to a big result, and that result my friends is Luxury. Finding that luxury in life with a little self care each day!
