Life is in a constant motion; forever shifting. Pivoting through life is something I feel all performers eventually learn to adjust to as they evolve in their career. Plans can be made time and time again, but more often that not we need to use the "power of a pivot" to get us through. Guest, Jill Christine Wiley has some insight on pivot shifts in her own life and gives some simple and effective self-care tips that she uses to help guide her through each moment of the day.
A native of good old Lancaster, turned New Yorker, Jill-Christine is a red headed dog mom with an Infinity for finding happiness in the small things and a firm believer that we should always take more photos and capture life’s memories! She has traveled across the country as a musical theatre performer, most notable for her role as Maria in The Sound of Music National Tour.
When the pandemic began, and all forms of employment came to a screeching halt, Jill could not sit still for long. She threw herself back into school in the hopes of finally finishing up her education after a six year hiatus from the university atmosphere. As the creative doors begin their stages of reopening, she has been keeping busy navigating her full time job working at the famous Levain Bakery, maintaining her online course work, being a dog momma, pivoting as needed when life yells, “plot twist” and perhaps belted out a few high notes and dance moves here and there, while cleaning the apartment.

Back with the walking mediations as promised. Thanks for asking for more! Today we focus on a meditation around this weeks episode, "The Great Circle of Life".
Join me outside on a walk to balance the summer day, heat with the cool. The sun and summer have long been symbols of energy and vitality. With longer days and shorter nights, summertime brings an energy of adventure, fun, and more nature into our lives. Today's mediation will help balance out that summer heat, with a cool focused mindful stroll while we meditate.
“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” – Buddha
Take time to slow down each day and just enjoy the path you choose to take today for this walk and the path you are currently on in life. Reflect on your past experiences, recent successes, and your current situation and consider how all these things have taught you valuable life lessons. Without these lessons, you may have never gained the priceless wisdom that you have now.

"Everything you see, exits together in a delicate balance. As King you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures. From the crawling aunt to the leaping antelope... When we die our bodies become the grass and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great circle of life."
Recent events have allowed me to look at this quote in two different ways that I haven't previously viewed it before. With my Grandpa not doing so well and possibly exiting the earth, and my friends bringing new life into this world. In addition to thinking when we look in the mirror and realize that our entire body is driven on respecting the balance we need as humans to survive, and noticing how much self care is actually part of that survival. Tune in to hear what that is, along with promised social media tips I'm sharing after Raeya's interview.

Chatting with todays guest Raeya Swope about self-care around social media. We can all get burnt out from not creating boundaries with our social pages, but for Rayea it's not only for fun, but it her job.
Raeya was born and raised in Lancaster County, PA. From performing in school theater productions and reporting on the school news, to running the social media for her after-school retail job, Raeya has always been drawn to any activities that have anything to do with performing, conversations, and human connection. Influenced by her love for big cities and new experiences (and being the first generation to get the heck out of Lancaster), after high school she moved to Philadelphia to study strategic communications and social influence at Temple University.
Since graduating college in 2018, she has navigated her career in digital media marketing - landing her in various roles - including, starting her own LLC for her freelance work this past year. In addition to loving the creative world, another passion of hers is yoga, wellness, and self-love. Raeya is passionate about always being in the work of inner and outer awareness through self-care, inner-reflection, vulnerability, and connecting with others. When she's not creating a social media strategy or repeating positive affirmations, you can find Raeya chowing down at any top-rated restaurant, as she is a self-proclaimed foodie and eating good food is her love language.

Last day of two Episodes a week. Told you there was one more!
Today I'm sharing a little self discover from inner work and work with my coach of feelings of isolation after my visit with Douglas. Knowing that many of us have been through a moment of feeling alone, when in fact we aren't alone and there are actually many people in our life from day to day. Though they are there we can still be charged with an emotion of loneliness and isolation.
Sharing some insight I've learned about this Isolation and how I can choose to react over being reactionary. Understanding that we can navigate through these emotional charges and still come out on top.

Manifesting your dreams can be done in several ways. One of my favorites is my Dream Box. In this episode I discuss creating those dreams to go into the box and rediscovering them after time. Sharing a few experiences of my own along the way of fulfilling some of my old and new dreams for my life and in my relationship. Even when we believe those dream are out of reach, the universe has an interesting way of making them come true. Most often it isn't quite the way we imagined, but they will happen. Keep dreaming my friends!

First off, I love my parents, but they are also f**king nuts!!
Today I'm breaking down the "Do's" and "Don't" I've learned from my own personal experience with my family. We need to be reminded we are in the drivers seat of our own lives. At one point our parents did know what was best for us, but once we reach adulthood we are the only people that truly know what's best for our personal lives. No one but you, can tell you how to get to your happiness!
Let me know if this episode really resonated with you. Share if you have tried any of these tactics with me on my latest instagram post.
