As Cal Twomey penned earlier this week, there is genuine uncertainty around this year's draft format due to the coronavirus outbreak. We were already thinking of an episode on the 2020 draft, but his article brought our timing forward. We cover the impacts of COVID-19 on the 2020 draft, as well as the likely shift in mentality that recruiters will have with prospects.

Just a few days after the AFL announced that the 2020 season would go ahead as planned, it has been paused until 31st May at the earliest, with the achievability of that date set to be reviewed at the end of April. We take a look at what this means for the AFL players and clubs, and what the 2020 season could look like by the end of it all.

This will be a season like none before, and hopefully none again. COVID-19 has seriously impacted society, and what the 2020 AFL season will look like. Shorter season, shorter games, potential league wide shutdowns, these will all become regular topics of conversation.
