For decades conservatives have worshipped at the altar of law and order and national security. They have cheered every tool handed to the State in these efforts. Canadians did the same, and many now regret it.

Conservatives would be wise to wake up to this reality. Allowing a Police State and cheering for an Empire never works out well for freedom lovers.
