I have already learned a lot and made many connections in this MAD RUSH podcast journey. Today is no exception, and I am excited to talk with my guest, Mary Corder Harrell, about some of the crazier rush stories we've heard. Thank you so much for being with us today. The people have asked, and we are delivering because TODAY IS CRAZY STORIES DAY!
Mary Corder is a native Atlantan and a successful real estate agent (broker?) with SothSotheSotheby'sAtlanta. I am so impressed with her work ethic and tenacity, and I imagine these traits extend to her real estate career as well.
Mary Corder graduated from The University of Georgia and was the Panhellenic VP of Recruitment in 2011. I am SO EXCITED for this episode and can't wait to get started, but first, give us a little background on your involvement in Greek life in college.

As this journey has continued, I have come across some interesting, successful, and amazing people. I am honored that Emmy Award-winning host and Executive Producer Catie Keogh is joining me on Mad Rush today. I accidentally found Catie on Instagram and was struck by how funny she is. In addition to all of her accomplishments, she is also a Midwest mom who just experienced a rush in the South with her daughter.
Catie Keogh is a travel expert for WGN in Chicago and Digital contributor for Nat Geo Travel.

The theme of this podcast is quickly becoming clear to me. It is connections—connections in college and beyond, and today is no exception. I met my guests today through-you guessed it-Instagram-and you are in for a treat! We are diving deep into OLE MISS RUSH 2024 with a recap and insights.
Amanda Tatom is a former tv news anchor turned social media influencer and newly experienced rush mom
Moira James is not new to Greek Life. She graduated from a women’s college and is a boy mom who saw the need to help young women through the rush/recruitment process. Although she has a very high-powered career, she has given her free time and helped many girls navigate rush at several schools, so she knows the ins and outs.

One of my favorite things about this podcast is meeting other women and sharing our experiences and connections to expand creatively. Today, I am so grateful to be joined by artist Christie Farese and photographer and branding specialist Allison Muirhead. A part of my journey is so much about the connections I have made throughout my life. My business is based on the desire to help young women make connections as they go off to college. It is connections that bind us together. It is a natural fit that I have these two women on my show.

Today, on Mad Rush, Trisha is joined by Charlie English. Charlie is an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and author of Pregame Prayers and Tailgate Tastings:
A Damned Good BullDawg's Devotionals on the Road to Eternal Glory coming out tomorrow. Today, as they talk (and Charlie imbibes in a little “brown likker”), he describes how the weekly gameday prayers he has written for years led him to where he is now. Trisha and Charlie give a little glimpse into Southern culture, both above and below the “gnat line.”

This mother/daughter duo shares what it is like to be a fish out of water when it comes to rush in the South and the aftermath. Leslie, one of Trisha’s best friends for over 40 years, talks about what rush looked like as she accompanied her daughter, Megan, to LSU. Hint-Trisha was with her every step of the way. Leslie shares how she tried to explain the madness to her husband, Bruce. Bruce and Leslie have a full-service catering company in Charlotte, NC-Porcupine Provisions. Megan discusses her journey and how sometimes calling it quits and changing direction is OK. Megan and Trisha are both sporting jewelry from Erin McDermott’s collection, and Megan is the Director of Operations for Erin’s company, based in Charlotte.

Angela King is a mother from Atlanta, Georgia, who is using her tragedy to help others. Just eight months ago, her son, Jack O’Kelley, died from taking a pill that he probably thought was just Xanax. It was laced with Fentanyl. She is channeling her grief to help educate others about the genuine dangers of Fentanyl. Fentanyl is here in our world. This drug is not just in the dark alleys of the seedy parts of cities. It is in every town, on every college campus, at sporting events and concerts. It is everywhere. She wants to educate us about how to communicate with our kids about this present danger and how to obtain lifesaving drugs readily available. Her mission is vitally important, and on this episode of MAD RUSH, she and Trisha talk about how you can start saving lives, maybe on your own.
