Madalyn, BTRtoday

Today it may be Saturday, but the show today is all about the future. Oh, and cool new music. But yes, the future is imminent, it’s coming, and we’re playing songs that I think the future sounds like on the show today. All in honor of the new sci-fi book club that I’m joining. We also have tons of great new music on the show today. And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud!

Hello and welcome to weird Wednesday! This is of course God Bless Weirdmerica, the show on BTR where I play new weird America, freak folk, and generally odd music. Odd to me, at least. We’ve got a great show for you today where we discuss the “canterbury scene,” my love for Spencer Krug, and hear great new music from Beth Orton, Grace Joyner, and more. And don’t forget to hop onto Facebook and give BTR a like!

It’s full-on summer here in NYC and all that means for me is that I want to be at the beach 100% of the time. Nothing’s better than nice sand and warm sun on a hot New York day. That’s why the beginning of today’s show is dedicated to all things beach-related. Wavves, Bleached, King Tuff…it’s a very summery start to our playlist today. And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

Another Saturday! Thank goodness. And on this Garbage Garage, we’re talking Copa Americana. Who will win? Isn’t it cool that it’s in the US this year? Who love soccer? I do! But I also love music, so there’s a ton of great new music on the show today to enjoy as well. And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

Welcome to God Bless Weirdmerica! We’ve got a great lineup for you today- brand new music from The Galaxy Electric and You + Your D. Metal Friend, plus old favorites from Death Vessel and Here We Go Magic, and medium-new favorites from Kiran Leonard and Bell Orchestre. It’s all on the show today so make sure to stay tuned, and also sign onto Facebook and give BTR a like!

I just got back from an amazing week-long trip to Ireland. And so today on the show I’m celebrating a fantastic journey to a really great country by playing some of songs from a few of my favorite Irish artists, mostly Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglove, whom you might know from the movie and Broadway show, Once. And, as always, I’m bringing you a ton of great new music. And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

It’s should divas day on Garbage Garage! That’s right, we’re starting the show off with some of my favorite gospel, soul, and R&B singers: Mavis Staples, Sharon Jones, Naomi Shelton, and Bettye LaVette. And we’ve also got great tracks from The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Foreign Born that we haven’t heard in a while. And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

Happy Weird Wednesday! It’s God Bless Weirdmerica, and it’s time for another strange set of great music. This is the show where we play freak folk, New Weird America, psychedelic and any songs that just don’t a genre, like our friends on the show today dunkelbunt. We’ve also got a very psychedelic track from Sun Araw, and some dreamy pop folk from Deradoorian. And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

Today on Garbage Garage we’re going deep Garage, with female-centric summery garage rock. With bands like La Sera and Waxahatchee, you’ll be in a breezy summer Saturday mood in no time. And don’t forget to download BTR’s brand new app, and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

Another happy Saturday here at Garbage Garage! Today we’re starting off the show with a half hour of really good, relaxing, non-coffee-shop-esque folk. With bands like Mountain Man and S. Carey I think you’re really going to enjoy chilling out to it. And we’ve got a great mix of new and old on the rest of the show. Remember to check out BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.
