Madalyn, BTRtoday

Happy Wednesday! We have some really cool music for you on God Bless Weirdmerica today. Even though we technically play New Weird America music, we’re kicking off the show with a string of non-American bands today, or at least bands who use international genres to create a new sound. It’s great sometimes to hear the traditions that some of the freak folk and even more popular indie bands today come out of. And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud!

Garbage Garage is really living up to its name today, because we’ve got a mixture of everything from garage rock to folk to some Brazilian international music, and a few things in between. Plus, we’re delving deep, deep into the archive all the way back to 2008 part 2, for the second installment of the Garbage Garage nostalgia trip. And don’t forget to download the brand new BTR app and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.

Can you believe that 2008 was eight years ago? Today on the show we’re going back in time eight years to see how things have and haven’t changed when it comes to musical trends. And of course, the rest of Garbage Garage is filled with everything and the kitchen sink, from hip-hop to folk to something called cumbia-punk out of East LA! And don’t forget to follow BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, SoundCloud, and Instagram.

Happy Wednesday and welcome to another brand new God Bless Weirdmerica. I’ve got an eclectic mix for you today, and when I say eclectic on this show, that means everything from folk to really odd hip-hop to dreamy pop- pretty much anything as long as it’s strange in some way. Even if it’s a parody of a well-worn genre, like I might argue the Cass McCombs song I’m playing today is in a way, it fits in with this show. And don’t forget to check out BTR on Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and SoundCloud.
