Episode 60 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes some of the difficulties faced by the team led by Prince Angad. The three teams that had gone to north, east and west had returned as per the targeted time of one month without finding Seeta. The team that went to south faced a number of problems. They encountered thick forests, caves and even a daanav. They came across a dead forest where there were no birds or animals since the forest had nothing to eat and no water to drink. The team continued their search even though they were extremely hungry and thirsty. During their search they came across a cave which was hidden and seemed very dark. They decided to enter the dark cave in the hope of finding food and water. After walking through total darkness for miles, they came across beautiful divine scenery with golden trees, clear water and lots of gold and precious stones. A woman named Swayamprabha was guarding the place. She offered food and water to the team of Vanars. Later she helped them get out of the cave. After coming out, Angad realized that the specified time period of one month was already over. Angad decided to end his life by fasting to death. However, Taar convinced Angad that instead of embracing death they should go back inside the cave and spend rest of their lives in the cave. (Ref. Episode 59 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Sugreev getting serious about helping Ram find Seeta. Sugreev orders Hanuman to send representatives to various regions with orders to all armies to gather in Kishkindha without any delay. Soon, armies of vaanars start gathering from all over. Sugreev goes to meet Ram with the armies. Sugreev places the armies at the disposal of Ram. However, Ram tells Sugreev that at the moment the work is of searching for Seeta which has to be done entirely by Sugreev and his teams. After Seeta is located, further actions will be planned jointly. Sugreev deputes teams to different directions for searching Seeta. However, the most elite team is sent to the south under the leadership of Prince Angad. The team sent to south also had Hanuman, Neel and Jambwan. Sugreev especially conveyed to Hanuman that he was relying on Hanuman to be able to accomplish the mission. Ram also felt that Hanuman will be the one to find Seeta and hence gave his ring to Hanuman to give to Seeta as and when Seeta is located.  (Ref. Episode 58 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Ram expressing his anger to Lakshman about Sugreev not doing anything for searching Sita. Ram knows that Sugreev is busy having fun with his wives and has forgotten about the promise to search for Sita. Ram sends Lakshman to Sugreev to convince Sugreev to fulfil his promise. Ram also tells Lakshman to convey to Sugreev that the path on which Vaalee has gone is not closed and if Sugreev does not act on his promise, Ram will not hesitate to send Sugreev on the same path. Episode 57 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the situation in Kishkindha after Vaalee’s cremation. Sugreev is crowned as the king. He gets back his wife, Ruma and also gets to marry Tara as well as other widows of Vaalee. Ram decides to spend four months of rainy season in a nearby cave deferring the search for Sita to post-rains. Earlier Sugreev was forced to live a life of celibacy and now he had many wives. Sugreev immersed himself in fun and frolic with his many wives and forgot all his responsibilities, duties and commitments. Rains ended but Sugreev did nothing in connection with the promised search of Sita. Hanuman tried to advise Sugreev to take up his commitment to Ram seriously. Sugreev agreed with Hanuman’s advice and issued orders for the army to gather together. Having issued the order, Sugreev went back to his wives and continued enjoying life. (Ref. Episode 56 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the emotions of Tara, Vaalee’s wife when she comes to know of her husband being hit by Ram’s arrow. Tara sees her life without Vaalee as meaningless and wants to do a fast unto death. Other wives of Vaalee and Prince Angad, son of Vaalee and Tara are also crying as Vaalee breathes his last. Seeing the tears all around, Sugreev is shaken. Sugreev’s happiness of victory disappears and instead deep sadness overcomes him. Vaalee calls Sugreev and expresses remorse for the fact that animosity had developed between them. Vaalee hands over to Sugreev the kingdom of Kishkindha, all his wealth and fame. Vaalee even hands over to Sugreev the divine necklace made of gold that he had received from Indr. All this makes Sugreev even more remorseful and guilty. Sugreev goes to Ram and expresses his pain. Sugreev is unable to live with the fact that he got his own brother killed. Sugreev prays to Ram to kill him. Ram handles the difficult situation very well convincing Tara as well as Sugreev to stop crying and carry out the last rites of Vaalee. (Ref. Episode 55 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the dialogue between Ram and Vaalee. After falling down on the ground, hit by Ram’s arrow, Vaalee confronts Ram, abuses him and scolds him for committing an act against dharm. Vaalee is respectful towards Ram but is extremely harsh in his criticism of Ram who listens patiently. When his turn comes, Ram answers Vaalee in an extremely logical and systematic manner. Ram first questions Vaalee’s competence to raise issues of dharm. Ram then explains his own competence and jurisdiction for punishing wrongdoers. Ram explains the crime that Vaalee had committed – having sexual relations with younger brother’s wife even when the brother is alive. Ram also explains that the crime is unpardonable and must be punished with death. A person who commits this crime is like an animal and must be killed like an animal is hunted down. There can be no notice of war to a hunted animal. When hunting the means and technique used to kill is immaterial. Hence, Ram killed Vaalee without any notice, while hiding behind a tree. Vaalee is convinced of his own crime and seeks apologies from Ram for his harsh words expressed earlier. Vaalee also seeks Ram’s blessings for his wife Tara, their son Angad and his younger brother Sugreev. Ram assures Vaalee of taking care of Tara, Angad and Sugreev. (Ref. Episode 54 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Sugreev moving to Kishkindha to once again challenge Vaalee. Sugreev is accompanied by Ram, Laxman and his associate Veer Hanuman, Nal, Neel and Officer Tar. All of them hide behind a bunch of trees. Sugreev loudly challenges Vaalee for a fight. Vaalee gets furious and is ready for fight again. Vaalee’s wife Tara makes an attempt to stop Vaalee from accepting Sugreev’s challenge. She is apprehensive and suspects that Sugreev has some trick up his sleeve. She feels that Sugreev coming back to challenge once again so quickly after being beaten is not normal. She tells Vaalee that through prince Angad she had come to know that Sugreev has made friendship with Ram and Lakshman who are extremely brave and capable. Vaalee does not pay heed to his wife Tara’s advice. He goes for the fight. A fierce fight takes place between Sugreev and Vaalee. At the point when Sugreev seems to be getting tired, Ram shoots an arrow that pierces Vaalee’s chest making him fall to the ground. (Ref. Episode 53 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Sugreev having concerns about Ram’s capabilities to kill Vaalee. Sugreev tells Ram about Vaalee’s strengths and capabilities. Sugreev also narrates an incidence that highlights Vaalee’s high level of strengths. The incidence involves Vaalee killing Dudumbhi, a demon who used to have the form of a giant he-buffalo. Vaalee had defeated Dudumbhi in an open fight with his bare hands. After killing the demon, Vaalee had thrown the dead body miles away with his hands. Splash of blood from the dead body had infuriated Rishi Matang who cursed Vaalee and stopped him from entering the region around Rishi’s ashram. Sugreev gives two tests to Ram to ensure that Ram is indeed capable of killing Vaalee. Ram clears both tests with flying colours. Convinced of Ram’s strength and capability, Sugreev agrees to go and challenge Vaalee for a fight. (Ref. Chapters 11 and 12, Kishkindha Kand, Shreemad Valmikiy Ramayan)

Episode 52 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the reason for animosity between Sugreev and Vaalee. Sugreev narrates to Ram the incident that made the brothers enemies. Vaalee was the elder of the two. After the death of their father, Vaalee was crowned as the king and Sugreev took to serving the king with devotion. One night, Mayavee, a demon came to Kishkindha and challenged Vaalee for a fight. Both, Vaalee and Sugreev, came out to fight the demon. Seeing the two brothers standing in unity, the demon got scared and ran for his life. Vaalee decided to chase him and kill him. In the forest, the demon entered a big cave. Vaalee instructed Sugreev to wait at the entrance to the cave while he went in. Sugreev dutifully waited for over an year. One day, Sugreev saw a huge stream of blood come out from the cave with big noise of fighting inside the cave. Sugreev thought that his elder brother had been killed. He returned to the capital where he was crowned as the king. In fact, instead of Vaalee being killed, Vaalee had killed the demon and also killed all his family members. Vaalee returned to find his brother Sugreev sitting on the throne. Vaalee was furious. He insulted Sugreev, threw him out of the kingdom and even took over his wife.   (Ref. Episode 51 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes first part of the conversation between Ram and Sugreev after they became friends. Sugreev shows the clothes and ornaments of Sita to Ram. Both brothers, Ram and Lakshman are moved to sorrow and anger after seeing the clothes and ornaments that were thrown by Sita when Raavan was kidnapping her. Sugreev consoles Ram and tells him that the basic principle of facing sorrow and crisis is to not let it overpower one. Sugreev also promises to help Ram bring back Sita.
