Maia, BTRtoday episodes

  • Slow Caves
Slow Caves is an indie rock band from Fort Collins, Colorado, built around the songwriting duo of brothers Jakob and Oliver Mueller along with their friend David Dugan. From playing in high school bands to opening for legitimate rock stars like Third Eye Blind, Cake, DIIV, and Modest Mouse, the band has come a very long way and their performances show it. Steeped in 90’s guitar-rock hook vibes, the band has the uncanny ability to deliver instantly satisfying jams. They dropped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to show us how they do it in the Rockies.
Falling is available now from Old Flame Records.

AMES has an incredible voice of her own - which is showcases prominently on her EP - and she stopped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn to share it with us in this intimate solo session.

  • Be Forest
Be Forest is a dark shoegaze trio from Italy. Costanza Delle Rose (bass, vocals), Nicola Lampredi (guitar), and Erica Terenzi (drum, synths and vocals) craft a hazy, moody sort of atmospheric soundscape - drifting in from the ether with breathy vocals, punchy drums, and walls of sound to carry you away into the night. The band dropped by Serious Business Music in Brooklyn while in town earlier this year to give us a closer look in this session.

  • Divino Niño
Camilo Medina and Javier Forero met as kids in Bogotá before reuniting in Miami, where they began their musical collaboration. In Chicago, the duo was joined by Guillermo Rodriguez and Pierce Codina to round out the lineup for Divino Niño, whose dreamy, smoothed-out psych-punk grooves have a timeless quality, and weave effortlessly between English and Spanish at times, paying homage to the band’s collective musical backgrounds. The band dropped by while in NYC for this super woozy session at Serious Business Music in Brooklyn.
