Sin makes us unclean, and that uncleanness distances us from God, either absolutely -before conversion- or relatively -after conversion-. Saved men and women find sin defiling their conscience and drawing and dividing them from God. So where do we turn- Do believers rely on their own efforts, if not to make them clean, at least to keep them clean- No-it is still and always the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, which is cleansing us from all our sin.
